Noynoy Aquino speaks like his "class" mates do

Let's call a spade a spade---Noynoy Aquino is your quintessential cono boy, the one raised in a Catholic school by Catholic parents who belonged to the landed gentry. Unlike many of us, Noynoy did not suffer from hunger or experienced skipping meals for lack of a peso, oh no.

Noynoy, like those who now support him and flock to him like flies, is a cono. I am wont to say Ilustrado because there is nothing illustrious about him.

I recognize the sacrifices of her parents. Cory and Ninoy were two extraordinary individuals, rare gems of a budding nation. I cannot, however, say that about their son, whose claim to fame is simply being there at the right moment and with the right pedigree.

Cory and Ninoy were two devoted souls and servants of the people. They understood that for things to change, they must change in  harmony with the people.

His parents, Cory and Noynoy spoke and used a language that is totally alien to their class. These two transcended their class status and became endeared to all of us simply because they broke the class barriers and did extraordinary things unheard of and unexpected from members of their socio-economic class.

Oh, no, not Noynoy and his sister, Kris. Noynoy defends his "class" mates like they're his blood brothers and I don't really blame him. During those times when they were prosecuted, Noynoy's friends were there with him and behind him. They never left him.

This explains why even if there is so much corruption, smuggling, and human rights violations under his watch, Noynoy will never ever admit that these are rising and are reaching alarming proportions.

As for Noynoy's dig at Senatoriable Teddy Casino, well, let's see. Let the corruption, the high prices of commodities and goods and the seriously rising incidence of crime tell the people what to do.

For many people, at least there's one "Makabayan" running for the Senate.
