America will rise from Sandy's devastation

Life in New York and New Jersey would never be the same again, as superstorm Sandy continues to devastate cities inland and upland. Pennslyvania was severely hit, so did Michigan which was hit by 20-foot high floods. The cities along the Atlantic Coast got the most beating, particularly Cleveland, New York and New Jersey. Sandy was, by far, the most devastating storm to hit America in decades. More than 10 million people were affected and damage to property was estimated to reach at least 10 billion dollars. That's a conservative estimate, says New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Destruction costs could reach more.

Inspite of the gall and the gloom, there's a voice out there bringing people hope and telling them to get on their feet, again, like what Americans of previous decades did, when they were hit by severe crises.

“We will get through the days ahead by doing what we always do in tough times—by standing together, shoulder to shoulder, ready to help a neighbor, comfort a stranger and get the city we love back on its feet,” Bloomberg said.

In a country already hit by a severe financial crisis, and now, suffering from the effects of a severe storm, nothing is more soothing than hearing such inspiring words from one of their inspired leaders.

I think this storm should remind America that mankind remains helpless in the face of Nature's wrath---that there is a higher Power Up There, who should be asked whether the things they are doing now are still attuned with God's will.

Americans should never forget that God founded their society, and God made it great. There is a purpose why things went the way they did---probably remind Americans to re-discover their faith in God. America, as a Nation, is resilient, just like the human spirit.
