Disasters to hit RP within the next few days

a supertyphoon is expected to hit earthquake ravaged Visayas region by Thursday until Saturday. I was reading news articles and found that several cities are still checking and some are monitoring the conditions of communities to be hit by the supertyphoon. I think the NDRCC is still unprepared for this.

Let's us pray for our brothers and sisters in the Visayas who were hit by a strong earthquake a month ago. Now, they are facing this supertyphoon. Most of the provinces in the Visayas have denuded forest areas. Most places are susceptible to landslides. Inspite of Project Noah and despite earlier preparations against the effects of severe weather conditions, expect reports on landslide victims...again. Our government never learns.

Of course, our politicians would again be extremely happy, what with another potential disaster to hit us. Remember one Senator, I think, Senator Recto who said that instead of calling the DAP as what Pnoy choir describes it, let's just re-name it as Disaster Assistance Program. That's like turning a disaster into an earning opportunity for politicians.

I really don't know if this is the last of the severe weather disturbances we will be getting before the year ends. These past few years, notice that the severest weather disturbances occur between October to November. I think we better re-study our metereological history to see when we are being hit and when not.
