Youth walks out of their classes in protest against Noynoy

The youth, instrumental in the election of President Benigno Aquino III last year, is staging a walkout. Today marks Aquino's first year in office, and thousands of youth members throughout the country are protesting. Fact is, their frustration has reached fever pitch, they graded Aquino a falling mark for doing nothing, absolutely nothing.


House Minority Leader Edcel Lagman says it was a monumental mistake electing Aquino into power while retired archbishop Oscar Cruz laments that the country remains the same under a so-called transformative leader such as Noynoy.

“In the past, the Philippines was second only to Japan. But if Fourth World countries exist, then we could be one of them,” he said in jest.Cruz said democracy and poverty could not “go hand in hand.”“How can [a country] be free if [its people] have nothing to eat? How can [a country] be free if its people do not have shelters to stay in?” he said.Asked what could be the possible solutions to these problems, Cruz mentioned three elements of effective leadership—integrity, competence and diligence.

Unfortunately, he said, none of the present and past two administrations had all three: Mr. Aquino’s had integrity but not competence and diligence; Joseph Estrada’s had diligence but not competence and integrity; and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s had competence and diligence but not integrity.

Major business groups also marked Noynoy a passing grade, while Migrante, an OFW group gave Noynoy a failing grade for doing absolutely nothing in taking care of the country's modern heroes.

Why fear to live in RP if you're the lotto winner?

Okey. So INquirer reporter Miko MOrelos just lost his precious privacy when Tim Yap erroneously reported that he won the 741 million peso lotto jackpot. He says he now fears for his life, shortly after that error made by Yap. What Morelos does not know is this--Yap even did him a favor. Why?


Assassins or kidnappers would not touch a celebrity or a media person like Morelos. THey know the risk. Even if Morelos did, indeed, won the jackpot, there would be less people bothering him, especially criminals since he's a celebrity and touching him means certain death.


What bothers me more was the statement made by retired archbishop Oscar Cruz of Dagupan. He appeals to the winner to "pack his bags and go." Reason for the melodramatic call of Cruz--the Philippines is a dangerous place to live. The winner should fear for his life instead of enjoying his luck.


An archbishop telling us that it is very dangerous to live in this country, how irreverent and irresponsible!


Paano magsisimula ang pagbabago gayong sa utak pala ng mga lider natin dito, eh, masyadong delikadong mamuhay sa bansang ito na ipinagkaloob sa atin ng Dios.


Kung gayon naman pala, na delikado dito sa Pinas, bakit pa nandidito yang si Cruz at patuloy na nabubuhay mula sa kadakilaan ng mga Pilipinong nag-aaruga sa kanya at dumadalo sa kanyang mga sermon.

There are really some people who think negatively of our country. Worst, they are the very ones who tell us it is time for change.


Change will only happen if these people change their perceptions of our country. When the very leaders of our morality think that the situation has gotten worse, but do not have any prescription as to how to change things, that means that we have really gotten the end of the rope here. 


One little thing that we ought to think and practise every single day is this----THINK GOOD. THINK POSITIVELY. AND ALL THINGS WILL, INDEED BE GOOD.

Pnoy talks to Dagupan archbishop Oscar Cruz

This is a fictional story of a meeting held between Noynoy Aquino and former Dagupan Archbishop Oscar Cruz.

(phone rings)

Oscar: " Good evening."
Noynoy: " Good evening father, your excellency."
Oscar: " Oh, Noy. Is this you?"
Noynoy: " Opo father. gandang gabi po."
Oscar: " Gandang gabi din naman, Ginoong Pangulo. "
Noynoy: " Pnoy na lang po."
Oscar: " O, sige, Pnoy. What can I do for you po, Mr. President."
Noynoy: " I heard po that you went to the media and told them that I have two.."
Oscar: " Hindi po, its five po Mr. President."
Noynoy: " Ah five ba? Okey, five or two Cabinet members involved in jueteng. Is that true po Father?"
Oscar: " Yes, iho. Yes, five of your cabinet appointees are involved. They are each being given 2 million by jueteng operators."
Noynoy: " Ah, is that true?"
Oscar: " Yes, Mr. President."
Noynoy: " Do you have evidence po father?"
Oscar: " I have..."
Noynoy: (interrupting) Could you show this to us po, father."
Oscar: " I'm sorry Mr. President. Pero, hindi nyo po ba alam yan, Ginoong Pangulo that some of your friends, are on the take?"
Noynoy: " Hindi po."
Oscar: " You don't know that despite of your enormous intelligence funds?"
Noynoy: " Bago pa lang po kami dito sa palasyo father and we're still feeling ourselves thru.."
Oscar: " ah..."
Noynoy: " Besides po father, I think you got a wrong info. Two million? Masyado naman pong maliit yan for a bribe, especially from jueteng operators since they're earning billions.."
Oscar: " Is that true?"
Noynoy: " Yes po father. The current payola po is not just two million."
Oscar: " Really? What is?"
Noynoy: " I know po its a little bit higher, maybe ten or twenty? "
Oscar: " Ganun ba?"
Noynoy: " Yes, father. Pang pipitsugin lang yang 2 million. Barya-barya."
Oscar: " Really?"
Noynoy: " Yes po father, believe me, coz I know."
Oscar: " Ngek!"
