This site has been proven right again--the failure of the signing of the MOA will lead to a escalation of the conflict. Government erred when it refused to sign the MOA.

On the Bangsamoro Question & the Emergence of a New Group, part 2
By granting that interview and posting it on the Internet, it seems that somebody or at least one faction of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) wants to make a statement. And that statement is loud and clear--there's a new group being formed that represents a bigger constituency within the organization that is separate from Murad. And this group is what Kato represents.

Seems Jester-in-Exile and his cohorts barred me to comment on his blog, hehehe. Is it fair Pat? Anyway, birds with "the same mentality" flock together.hehehe.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I should have replied in there these today:
Jester-in-Exile, You said: "had you known that i was almost a “balik-islam”, you might have said things differently."
Answer: Not at all, anyway that's your opinion, but even so, or that even you'd been a Muslim by blood or by anythings else, I would still discuss with you the same thing if your view on the Moro problem is the same as you have today had you been that way. A lot of Muslims by blood, especially those "enlightened" in secular universities imbibe views more unacceptable to me than yours. And I would do the same with them.
If you have a clear tract down of the GRP-MILF peace talks, you would know everything in their provisions do not detach away from international laws and conventions as much as possible, in fact the MILF in its website challenged the AFP to bring the issue of "child soldier" to international scrutiny and review and see who is destroying the future of children in Mindanao. In relation to the 6 children the military bombed on September 8 at Datu Piang, at first, the AFP categorically denied that though they had flied war planes that day, they told that they did not drop bombs but just for reconnaissance because that was the order above to "respect" Ramadhan. But when it was proven that 11 civilians including the 6 children were killed with wounds that only bombs can do, the military then tried to divert the issue that there was an encounter, that they were fired by MILF forces below and that these civilians were just caught in the cross-fires. Then they argue that it was from the two bancas laden with children where the fires emanated prompting the war planes to fire back. Arguing further, these children might be child soldiers employed by MILF. 2 years old Faida, a child soldier? 10 years old bailyn, a grade two pupil of my sister-in-law, a recipient of NFA and WFP Food for Education program, a child soldier? Aida, (6-month pregnant) a child soldier?

Now then, the CHR tasked to investigate has proven that these civilians and children were killed by bomb splinters that torn their bodies and skull, that there was no encounter at all that day, see http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/inquirerheadlines/nation/view/20080928-163355/MILF-did-not-provoke-aerial-attack, the AFP resurrected and strengthened its "child soldier" issue against the MILF.
You said, "like is said earlier, danilo, this conflict is between the republic and secessionists."
Answer: Where's the discussion here? But to deny people with the right to rise up in whatever way and free themselves from gross discontents over their experience from the state for decades is another story. And that's the general thought I read in your lines here.
DJB, you said: "JAAHILIYYAH is ethno-religious APARTHEID."
Answer: The term is more that your vocabulary sir. Jahiliyyah means Days of Ignorance where people worshiped stones and other idols their abject minds can conceive of; worship of man-god kings, where all vices were publicly committed, stealing, genocide, calumny, cheating, reign of injustices, judgment by power, all immoralities that even exist in the west today e.g. gambling, alcoholism, drug abuse, same-sex sexual relations, rapes, sexual relations among minors, exchange of wives, pedophilia, homosexuality, adultery and fornication, exploitation of women in the guise of arts, culture and business, women flirting their bodies for celebrity title and money, "free prostitution" just for experience (gosh), young disrespect the elderly, ethnocentrism and racism, so on and so forth--including your (not mine)"laden-with-something" definition sir.
Readings in Philippine History by Horacio de la Costa, S.J.? Yeah I too got mine here in my table. Like William Henry Scott, Gregorio Zaide, F. Landa Jocano, John N. Schumacher, S.J., etc., he too got inconsistent terms e.g. "negritos as the earliest Filipinos," "pre-Hispanic Filipinos," "Ancient Filipnios," Lapu-lapu as "first Filipino Hero,"Filipino Muslims," "early Filipino datus" blah, blah, blah. sori.
