Lastly, let me get this thing out of my system. Adam Lambert is really a reincarnation of Elvis Presley and those great Fathers of Rock n' Roll. Remember that when Elvis stormed the stage, he was criticized, bullied, even castigated for the way he sang those rock songs. The Beatles also started with more boos than ahs. Yet, we saw how people around the world, worshipped their artistry. After the initial harsh reactions, true artistry emerged and eventually, the whole Humankind accepted it as their own.
Elvis, the Beatles, Kiss, The Queen are all class acts. They are the progenitors of eras, and Lambert, surely, will lead another one.
What America has shown in voting for Kris Allen is that they fear for this era. It's called a "future shock". Societies, when faced with new paradigms, show adversity at first, then, as soon as they feel accustomed to the sound and feel of the paradigm, they slowly adjust and embrace it as their own.
This is the same as revolutionary ideas. At first, we oppose it. But, when we are in the midst of it already and we feel its effects in our lives, we adjust and accept it as our own. Look at Cuba. In 1959, Fidel Castro won and seized power. Yet, it took him at least 10 years before Cubans accepted those changes the revolution wrought upon Cuban society. Now, it is the strongest model for change in America.
It is this hope that I, and all the rest of the New Patriots of the New Generation, continue to do what is necessary for change. Revolution might be too loud or too high pitched an idea for many and probably, paradigm shifts are more acceptable terms. In due time, people will warm up to it and embrace change like they do with their lovers.
This reality made me realize that there is still hope for Filipinos to come together as one and change the way we do things. It is still not hopeless.
To Adam Lambert, my man, continue doing what you're doing. Eventually, the revolution you started will engulf the whole of America and eventually your coronation will happen very soon.
Power texting by Kris Allen supporters won Kris Allen the American Idol title. America did not choose Kris Allen.

Power Texting procedure as posted in
http://www.krisallenation.com/2009/05/operation-ding-dong-step-four-study.html
Text between 6K-8K votes in 4 hours - by power texting 10 votes at a time:
1. Create 10 contacts with Kris's 5702 number, title them such as "Kris 1", "Kris 2", up to "Kris 10"**
2. Create a caller group named "Kris"
3. Add the 10 contacts to the caller group.
4. Type "VOTE", send to, select "Kris" caller group with the 10 Kris text numbers in it.
5. Send text (it'll take a few seconds since it's sending 10 instead of 1).
6. It should take you right back to your Sent box, select the text you just sent, hit forward, select the caller group again, and send!
7. Repeat step 6!
**if having problems with setting up same number for each of the 10 contacts, put same phone number (5702) in different slots: Kris 1 in work 1, Kris 2 in work 2, Kris 3 in Home, Kris 4 in Mobile, etc.
OR
Create 10 different contact numbers, since Kris will be 5702. Send 10 texts about every 30 seconds, prepare your next 10 while the previous set of 10 is being sent, so you minimize the time preparing a new set to send
xxx
Here's my strategy:
1. Go to "Create New Message."
2. Type "VOTE" into the message area.
3. Go to "TO:" and type in "5702" ten times.
4. Don't click send!
5. Instead, I exit out as if "preferring" to not send whatever I was going to text.
6. The phone asks me "Save as drafts?" I click "YES."
7. Go back to the text message main window where "Inbox", "Outbox", etc. is and click on "Drafts."
8. Inside that folder is that text I "preferred not to send."
9. I click on what I drafted and notice that the ten voting numbers along with "VOTE" is already written and I won't have to keep typing it in, essentially wasting more time when I need to be sending more votes.
10. Continue to click "Send"/"Forward" over and over because now I don't have to keep typing in the numbers.
This method allows me to get AT LEAST 8,000 texts in within 4 hours. thumbsup.gif I hope this can applied to others' phones as well!

I bet you, if we put to a vote, American idol style, the issue of slavery, there would be an overwhelming "number of votes" for the return of slavery! Thank God, American civil rights are not voted on, American Idol style. Except the California-style of voting for the ban of same-sex marriage. (You do not vote on civil rights. It is not about popularity.)

ReplyDeleteLet us be clear about this, Arkansas is NOT America. And America is not Arkansas.
40% of the votes came from Arkansas phone numbers.
Arkansas has a population of 2.8 Million. The US has a total population of 304 Million. As of July 2008 census.
How can 40% of the votes in American Idol come from a state with population less 1% of the US population? (Answer: power-texting)
Even if we assume that 99.9% of the votes cast were for Kris Allen, there were only 25 million viewers of American Idol.
The 279 Million US residents,
(304 Million - 25 Million), who do not watch American Idol, and most likely, do not vote for AI, should not be lumped together, with the supporters of Kris Allen, or those who are anti-Adam.
Let us not forget the people who sent in their votes, via Skype or Gizmo5, because they do not live in anyone of the US states or Puerto Rico, or US Virgin Islands, those "voters" do not represent America.
