Police General and Colonel involved in High-Profile Carjacking Syndicate

An active police General and an active service duty Colonel are now being investigated in connection to their alleged links to the country's top carjacking syndicate.

This General, according to several police sources, heads the syndicate that operates in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. He is now being investigated by police.

The general's group is different from the one being run by an active duty Colonel. This colonel reportedly serves as the country's biggest mafia head.

The operation of this carjacking syndicates run as far as Region 1 and Zamboanga. Vehicles are carjacked in Metro Manila and shipped to the Visayas and Mindanao. Several of these vehicles are chopped into pieces and sold to car accessories dealers. Luxury cars and SUVs are shipped into several boats for sale to Africa and other countries.

The carjacking industry in the Philippines runs by the billions.
