I'm tired. And I lost my voice.
I figured--why tell the world the evil things evil men do when all the world is evil. I mean, what would happen if one writes about evil when there is no single soul who will stand up and fight evil anyway?
One of the things I learned for a month now is this---don't use your small money to help an office. I'm suffering now because I let myself be convinced that I am doing a great thing, when, in the end, you realize that there's nothing important in what you're doing.
I wanted to change the world, but if you're as poor as I am, how would that be possible? I remember one conversation I had with my dear friend, a revolutionist who once sacrificed his life for the sake of the many.
He asked me---what if we win? If all these people who want change suddenly found themselves at the footstool of power, what now? Will they become the monsters, the very ones they fought against before they got power?
Ricky Carandang is a perfect example of how one became the very monster he so despised during the term of Arroyo. I remember Ricky castigating the spokespersons of Arroyo especially when the former president dined with several of her friends in one of America's most expensive restaurants. I remember these people, including Manolo, accusing Malacanang of excesses and being "haughty."
Now, with several statements under his belt, Ricky has now become the most hated and the most villified spokesperson of all time.
As what the ex-General Reyes said, weather-weather lang yan.
I would be extremely delighted if certain people would unite and make a big bang against Malacanang. The occupants of this palace should be given a great challenge, a military one. Let us see how strong and how prepared they all are. The Chinese always say that if you want to know if a man is really brave,
Keep the faith. In time, you will see that you have inspired others by making them stay the course of what is good. You may be a piece to the puzzle of Change.
ReplyDeleteThis quote could be apt to Ricky C. I know him and appreciate what you mean when you say that he has changed. "You do not wake up one morning a bad person. It happens by a thousand tiny surrenders of self-respect to self-interest." (Robert Brault).
Look at Failon, Legarda. They were so critical when they were in the media. But when perks are at their lap.. everything changes
