PCSO wants to make amends with the Church after false accusations

AFTER ACCUSING THE CHURCH OF IMMORALITY IN GETTING LEGITIMATE DONATIONS FROM THE PHILIPPINE CHARITY SWEEPSTAKES OFFICE (PCSO), PCSO CHAIRMAN MARGIE JUICO WANTS A VERITABLE "CEASEFIRE" WITH THE CBCP.

Realizing that they erred in this and already squeezed every publicity juice out of the so-called scandal, Juico is trying to cleanse the Church from any anomaly. Sources say, Juico and the Board will use the Senate hearing in trying to mend their sour relationship with the Church.

This only proves that the PCSO just used the Church in this publicity stunt. If I am a member of the CBCP, I will not approve of the PCSO's overtures. If the PCSO indeed hold solid pieces of evidence against these Church officials, they should instead file appropriate charges before the courts.

The PCSO's statement of reconciliation is a trapo move. The Church should not welcome such moves. Why? Because it should not allow itself to be a victim of negative publicity just for the current board to hide what it is currently doing----legitimizing jueteng operations.

Yes, several people will be testifying against the PCSO board very soon. A fact-finding probe is in order.

The Senate should start investigating the current PCSO board for irregularities.
