Pinoy's concept of social justice

This may sound cruel. But, I heard this from taxi drivers and several ordinary citizens. They are quite satisfied with what's happening, especially this issue about the hospitalization of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Some of those I was able to have a conversation says that they don't expect the former president to recover from her illness. They say, she deserves it. There's a belief that if doctors already operated on you, and you're old already, your rate of recovery is slower than others. Which I think is true.

People say that God has given the Filipino People justice, which the present leadership can't seem to give to them.

What is justice but afflicting those who stole billions from the coffers with incurable diseases. Look, what diseases affect those who served government? There are two--cancers and heart-related diseases. If you served as a high government official and you stole money from government, chances are, you'll be afflicted by cancer or a debilitating disease. They cited several cases. And this usually happens. Review all the causes of deaths of several "big-named" personalities in our society, especially those once accused of graft and corruption, and you'll notice that they died either of cancer or heart attack. Why?

It is not in the nature of a Filipino to rob their neighbours and be not affected emotionally of it. Consciences eating up some grafters' heart? Possible.

If you know more than an ordinary citizen, about the workings of the government and you exploited the weaknesses for your self-aggrandizement, chances are you'll also die of a very painful disease. This is God's justice, I think.

Government service, it seems, is like entering a Nuclear facility without any safety gears on.
