The Chief Justice finally balked. Chief Justice Renato Corona cannot stomach the fact that 5 billion pesos are being slashed from his budget, and about two billion pesos being kept by the Department of Budget Management in the treasury since the SC has not filled those positions which those monies are intended to. " Nevermore!", he says.
Well, why worry with scrimping your budget, Mr. Chief Justice? Everyone's trying to save money. Every single agency of government is trying very hard to maximize the budget allotted to them. And if you're really "straight", you'll will toe the line.
The poor is suffering. The Filipino People are trying to make ends meet. Makisama ka naman. Besides, there is no value with those stupid and flip-flops your department is making. Sayang lang ang pera namin sa iyo.
Imagine, you allowed the release of the FASAP decision only to withdraw it when you learned that it is against Lucio Tan, the owner of Philippine Airlines.
Imagine, for just one letter from Estelito Mendoza, which you even refused to show us, the Filipino People, you "recanted" and withdrew that decision which the FASAP deserves for waiting for more than 13 years.
Mr. Chief Justice, make decisions that are rational. Make us happy with decisions dispensed with finality. Then, probably, we will side with you when you balk for having such a budget.
