Smugglers as demi-gods? The True God will test their mettle

Was this expose about rice smuggling a political thing or just intramurals between two groups--the group as represented by Argee Guevarra and the other one, of Agriculture secretary Procy Alcala?

Guevarra has accused Alcala and his group of graft for allowing rice importations which run contrary to the highly public announcements of Alcala that the country has already achieved rice sufficiency.

Is there an attempt to link a very controversial smuggler to members of the President's official family to create a destabilized situation? Or, this is just to spite Alcala who reportedly battles several big-time rice smugglers?

The thing with this so-called "revelations" or "exposes" is this---there is no resolution. The Senate concluded its rice smuggling investigations which resulted to the prosecution of Lito Banayo, an Aquino appointee yet, spared Davidson Tan Bantayan from prosecution. Why is this person so strong?

That is a 6 billion peso question.

Lito Banayo, said to be the "man" behind David Tan, ran yet withdrew from the Congressional race last elections. He faces an Ombudsman case for graft.

What the public does not know is that these David Tan, Danny Ngos and the rest are financiers. They facilitate the speedy release of cargoes inside the Bureau of Customs using what they earned from the importation of rice.

At the bureau, three items are considered for the big-time players--rice, oil (all kinds) and construction materials.

These financiers boast that they can squeeze the local economy dry and prevent progress by manipulating or managing the entry of goods into the country. Such bravado necessitates a strong state-led response.

Are you not asking why no one prosecutes or even touches these persons, as if they are gods?

As they say, God hates other gods. The True God annihilates them all.
