TO KRIS AQUINO: AN APOLOGY FROM PNOY AND PAGASA WOULD HAVE SUFFICED

A SIMPLE APOLOGY WOULD HAVE MATTERED.

" Our world stopped when your mother died. "
But, presidential sisters Balsy, Pinky Aquino-Abellada and Kris Aquino were one in defending their brother, President Benigno Aquino in his latest brouhaha.

In an ABS-CBN interview, the presidential sisters were one in defending the non-appearance of their brother during those critical weekend when Cagayan de Oro and Iligan were being battered by strong torrential rains brought by Typhoon Sendong. Malacanang just admitted that Pnoy was out partying with PSG officials and men and was even said to have laughed hard when sexy and sultry actress Valerie Concepcion cracked jokes. (Obviously not Pnoy Penot jokes of fellow sexy actress Francine Prieto). Here is what Kris and her sisters said during her show over at ABS-CBN:

"Ngayon, 'yun namang party ay matagal nang naka-schedule 'yon. Siyempre, may mga masasamang nangyayari at may malungkot but then, life should go on. Hindi naman pwedeng huminto na lang ang buhay at magmukmok na lang tayo."That party was for the PSG, ang mga nag-aalaga sa Pangulo at sa kanyang pamilya. Tradisyon 'yon na talagang every year ay nagsasama-sama. Kasi it's time to thank them for always being there. Kung di man sa Constitution, there's some law."
Pinky, on the other hand, explained that the President does not want his arrival to disrupt rescue operations.
"Pinaghahandaan niya ang pagdating niya, ayaw niyang makagulo nang ganoon. So as early as Saturday, alam na natin na Tuesday ilalatag nila lahat. Sana ay hindi siya makaabala doon sa government agencies na talagang working hard to save as many lives as possible," she said.
Kris, for her part, said critics should give the President and their family a break.
"I think hindi niyo po maiaalis sa amin na gusto naming i-depensa ang kapatid namin. The entire night, also Saturday, when we were together, he was constantly on the phone monitoring everything. I think today ang pagpunta ko although I'm going with ABS-CBN. I'm also representing him. I think in many cases talaga, the three of us were able to do that and also there are a lot of security concerns as well," she said.
"Pero siguro hindi niyo maiaalis sa amin na sabihin namin na it's not like he doesn't care. Give me a break, diba? Siyempre pangulo siya ng Pilipinas at mahal niya ang ating mga kababayan. So siyempre, gagawin naman niya ang lahat.
"Sana huwag napakabilis ng batikos kasi napakaraming ahensiya ang nagtatrabaho na. It's just that a President is not like you or me na we can hop on a plane and go there because there are a lot of national concerns.
The sisters just gave a nice alibi but what hurt me and I think many who heard it the most was what Kris said:

" Where is my president?"
"Ngayon, 'yun namang party ay matagal nang naka-schedule 'yon. Siyempre, may mga masasamang nangyayari at may malungkot but then, life should go on. Hindi naman pwedeng huminto na lang ang buhay at magmukmok na lang tayo.

WHY KRIS???

WHEN YOUR MOTHER DIED, EVERY SINGLE FILIPINO STOPPED WHATEVER HE WAS DOING AT THAT TIME, AND PAID HOMAGE TO HER.

I, ALONG WITH MILLIONS, STOOD IN LINE TO VIEW HER. I, ALONG WITH MILLIONS, WAITED HOURS ALONG SOUTH SUPERHIGHWAY TO PAY MY LAST RESPECTS.

NOW, YOUR BROTHER IS PRESIDENT AND HE CAN'T EVEN SPEND A FEW MINUTES ATTENDING TO RELIEF AND EVACUATION OPERATIONS IN CAGAYAN DE ORO AND ILIGAN?

MANY PEOPLE DIED KRIS. FATHERS AND THEIR KIDS, MOTHERS AND THEIR BABIES. WHOLE GENERATIONS WERE WIPED OUT.THE ENTIRE CAGAYAN WAS ALMOST TRANSFORMED INTO A WASTELAND AND YOU WILL TELL US THAT "LIFE SHOULD GO ON...AND IT WILL NOT BE GOOD IF OUR LIVES STOP FOR A WHILE AND FOR US TO MOURN?"

WE MOURN FOR YOUR FATHER, KRIS. I WAS JUST A KID WHEN MY TITAS AND TITOS VOWED TO SACRIFICE THEIR LIVES FOR YOUR FATHER TO GET JUSTICE...

OUR LIVES STOPPED WHEN YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER DIED.

DON'T EVER TELL US, US, THE FILIPINO PEOPLE THAT WE WILL NOT MOURN OUR FELLOW FILIPINOS WHO DIED DURING THIS TYPHOON.

WE ARE NOT LIKE YOU, WHO DOESN'T CARE.

WE CARE FOR FELLOW FILIPINOS, POOR ONES, WHO BECAME VICTIMS.

MORE THAN A THOUSAND LOST THEIR LIVES BECAUSE OF THE INGRATITUDE AND THE INEPTITUDE OF THEIR LEADERS!!

THOUSANDS MORE LOST THEIR FUTURES BECAUSE OF THE CALLOUSNESS OF LEADERS LIKE YOUR BROTHER, KRIS!

A MERE APOLOGY WOULD HAVE SUFFICED.

  4. "life must go on?" woah! That's part of a president's responsibility. if a president prioritizes a party over helping his constituents, grrr.... very heartless.... what kind of president is he? if there are important matters ok. pero prioritizing a Christmas part???

  5. Repost: The difference when a calamity strikes metro manila and other provinces:

Metro Manila - everything stops, everybody helps, The MEDIA is focused on the efforts of different celebrities, groups and politicians on their effort to help.

Other provinces especially in Mindanao - The shows on major networks goes on... if you turn on your tv you see them dancing, singing, smiling... if there are efforts......not visible enough. media will just show the updates on their allotted time slot.

  7. That statement of Kris (if that was actually her word) is imbecilic! Did we ever wish that they stop the party "at magmukmok?" Bobo talaga! Manawagan nga tayong iboycott ang Kris TV or mag "No To Kris TV" even just for a day! Shame on them!

  8. I agree with Kris & in behalf of her two other sis. Khit pa d cnabi ni Kris no need to justify.

  15. we're scheduled for a christmas party too... but on the last minute, it was cancelled on that same the the party will take place. why? simple lang. its irrelevant considering the situation. magagawa mo bang ngumiti while your officemates are struggling to start their lives over again? yon yong difference. kase sila d nila ma feel yon.

  16. The rubbish that these people make in defending their inept brother. tradition? really? that's their defense? Let me get this straight, P-Noy skips the ASEAN summit to personally oversee that Arroyo could not get out of the country but couldn't be bothered to make a statement amidst the disaster because he had to go to a party? To top it all off, he wasn't even as hard on PAGASA as the time when Ondoy was rampaging in Imperial Manila.

    ReplyDelete
  17. good point. but life do goes on. we should continue to mourn for our fellow kababayans who died because of typhoon sendong and also we should continue to help those who survived in the typhoon and continues to live their own life.

i think what kris was trying to say is that we should not stop living in sadness/dullness everyday because of what happened.

    ReplyDelete
  18. they been powerful and don't care about us anymore...we were wrong to think their father was a hero when he is a politician...we bowed down to their mother and spend our time to mourn for her elegant burial...and this what we know amids the disaster they can not suspend their merriment as it is schedule ...very,very shameful...so what you think is this a leader attitude that we want our country to govern?...let us see next election...ang Pilipino dali man gud makalimot labi nag Bisaya...let us correct our attitude now we shall look a leader that had an attitude to sacrifice...anyway wrong ang ating selection before because dahil sa katagang..."the filipino is worth dying for." nayellow color halos buong pilipinas...now, we will not blame them anymore as it was us who can be blame more madali tayo maintriga...and for this we must go on...kung wala silang pakialam, kahihiyan or whatever bad word to describe...forgive them too...let us unite and extend our help to the victims of this disaster....

  19. The hell, that statement just proves how tactless and callous Kris can be. I never liked you from the moment I set my eyes on you and I never will after this. I wonder how can you even be related to your parents.

  20. Thanks for blogging your thoughts, but I beg to disagree with some of your views. The world doesn't have to stop just because there was a tragedy. It does not help any if the world cries and stops itself from laughing.

Also, I wouldn't be so dismissive to the Aquinos' explanations. The reasoning that Noynoy didn't want to disrupt the relief operations by visiting the calamity areas is sensible. Lots of preparations have to be made for such a visit, and the energy was really better spent attending to those in need. If you really think about it, what real help does a presidential visit to the area do? Comfort for the victims, maybe? But right after the tragedy, the victims had physical needs that immediately had to be attended to by local officials, local officials that wouldn't have been helped by being bothered with making sure that a presidential visit was properly organized.

Also, you wrote, "NOW, YOUR BROTHER IS PRESIDENT AND HE CAN'T EVEN SPEND A FEW MINUTES ATTENDING TO RELIEF AND EVACUATION OPERATIONS IN CAGAYAN DE ORO AND ILIGAN?" I find that unfair. The interview you quoted already explained, "The entire night, also Saturday, when we were together, he {Pnoy] was constantly on the phone monitoring everything." So he was attending to the operations, perhaps in the best way he knew how.

Nonetheless, despite my points of disagreement with you, I appreciate your blog because it calls attention to how much the affected areas need help. I just hope that everyone can do what they can to help.

    Merry Christmas!

Instead of blaming other's! you donate used clothes and anything that can help our city!

  25. THE MAIN QUESTION FOR THEM IS "Kung may party kaya si Pnoy sa Mindanao at binaha ang Manila, itutuloy pa rin kaya niya yung Party? I'm not hoping for any disaster to happen in Luzon... I'm just pointing out that Pnoy should have cancelled the party to comfort the families in Mindanao and think of solutions right away... He wouldn't get reelected if he runs again... He missed a big part of the Philippines BIG TIME!!!!"

  27. I agree.. Kris should have apologize.. We have every right to mourn for the people who died in this horrible tragedy and it is the job of our president to take the responsibility to do whatever he can to help the victims of the Typhoon Sendong... Seems she doesn't really care.. Parties can be cancelled if anything like this tragedy occurs.. I am sure anyone in their right mind would cancel a party if someone they love is dead or sick... but I guess for her, the "already booked parties" are more important to attend rather than offer sympathy and help among other Filipinos who lost their lives and lost their family for this terrible tragedy... It really shows her true colors now!

" we are not asking u to mourn for 1 week or a month! we dont need your words or ur comments, ur explanation nor your opinion!...would have been better if u didnt comment on the presidential issue.. you're not the president, second you're not even the president's spoke person.. fine! we understand that he's ur brother but u must choose ur words correctly and wisely! make sure u wont get people hurt! u just made things worst!!!! an apology could have been accepted! and all we need is a BIG HELP from all of u especially the government officials and most especially to your BROTHER!!

  35. it is not the fault of the president all our sufferings today...it is our fault because first and foremost we are the one who didn't care for our nature...A lot of us Filipinos take blame to our leaders yet, a lot of us too not doing something to help them become a good leader. A lot of us just make negative critisms. it is not necessary that president aquino really have to show right away. as long as he did his part commanding other officials and agencies to take care of the countrymen. Pnoy has his right to party, as long as he never take for granted others in need.. we better do our part to help those victims rather criticize Pnoy all the way...

    ReplyDelete

  38. You're being too mellow dramatic. Pnoy does not need to panic, for he knew if he will he can never come up a very laid out strategy. And again local government agencies to thoses affected cities performed their duties well, nd that's the reason we have those offices right. Instead of criticizing, lets just help those victims.
Now, have you taken ur part to donate for those people? Or you wasted ur precious contemplating this....not soo sensible issue. Ur just thinking what u feel u dont really understand how the those victims feels.

I, personally, feel for this tragic cataclysm. i dont have money to donate and i live overseas. all i can do is think and pray for 'em. but LIFE MOVES ON for us. Misery loves company. 44. This original post is from Xiang Sihay from FB in CDO:

"A friend of mine who's volunteering at ABS-CBN right now texted me. She said they were already at Consolacion to distribute the relief goods to the people, the people were already lining up, when suddenly they rerouted and went back to Balulang. The reason? Kris Aquino is there and they have to fetch her and go back to Consolacion so that she can also help.

Imagine the faces of the people already waiting for the releif goods; All hungry and thirsty and still covered in mud and they all needed fresh clothes to change into...They were shocked to see the ABS-CBN trucks leaving. All they can do is watch and wait for them to come back again. That's what my friend witnessed just a while ago."

  62. After reading this whole post, i realized i have 4 questions for you.

1.) Did Pnoy know about the situation in CDO and Iligan during, before, or after the party?
2.) If Pnoy did know about the tragedy in CDO and Iligan before the party ever began, can you present me any evidence that Pnoy indeed knew about the situation in CDO and Iligan before the party began.
3.) If Pnoy knew about the situation in mindanao during the party how sure are you he did not leave the party right away to tend to the needs of CDO and Iligan? Pls provide evidence.
4.) Now if Pnoy was informed after the party, do you have any evidence that he did not do anything to help the people in CDO and Iligan?

Please answer these questions, because the way i see it you are not telling the WHOLE story, in the first place you don't know what went on inside the office of the President.

  77. Nag puputok ngayon ang butsi mo kasi you didn't like her answer... naman!

I'm from Cagayan de Oro and my family were also badly affected by the disaster but I don't hold it against the president or her family for attending the PSG event. What do you expect, that he leave the party and fly in the middle of the night to personally hand over the flood relief/donation to all the affected areas??? If Kris answered patronizingly, she'd still be criticized anyway.

It's so easy to find fault at anyone. People will probably throw the same question at you: did you stop what you were doing and went to the disaster areas to help??? It's not just the president who has the responsibility to help but we, as a citizen need to do our part also.

I'm not an Aquino supporter because I'm never into politics. I voted only twice in my lifetime for the same reason that I stopped believing in the government but I still pay my taxes and try to help others. Kaya para di ka na ma heart attack dyan, "do what you can do to help" na lang and don't expect.

I respected you and Mr. President, I consider your side that as a sister you will defend your brother for the sake of your families reputation, but in behalf of Million Filipino that mourns for the lost of our Nation, I myself can tell that you are selfish enough to say and let go of the work that LIFE MUST GO ON!, Ms. Kris, the entire Philippines stopped when your parents died. We pay tributes and respect to your beloved parents. Please have a consideration not only for the sake of your family's reputation but instead a simple APOLOGY AND ACCEPTANCE will count more than a hundred alibis....I regret that I voted for our President. It placed misamis oriental', where CDO is on signal no. 2. The map that it showed, placed CDO and Iligan as sure hit. It also warned on a heavy rain.

That was morning on Friday. But the LGU did not make any preparation. No warnings even from Manila based networks, unlike when a storm will hit metro Manila.

    So why should PAGASA apologized?

THE REST OF THE NATION IS MOBILIZED RIGHT AWAY WHEN THEY CAN EVEN WE COULDN'T AFFORD A PLANE RIDE TO THE AREAS OF CALAMITY. We all halted our Christmas parties to give to these people. WE DID NOT GIVE OURSELVES A BREAK FOR OUR FAMILIES OR OUR OWN PERSONAL GAIN EVEN WHEN WE DON'T HAVE YOUR BROTHER'S POWER. It's disappointing when the president was so quick to delay participation in Indonesia when the Arroyo-Supreme Court-DOJ crisis was at its peak. NO ONE DIED THAT TIME. NO ONE WAS HARMED. AND NO ONE SUFFERED LOSS OF A FAMILY MEMBER OR FAMILY MEMBERS. Arroyo is still alive right? The President CAN hop on a plane when he says so. HE HAS HIS OWN PLANE. So what if the party was set, do you expect these people to go on and have their Christmas Party when half of their family members died 8 days before Christmas? How do you expect them to move on Miss Aquino? The only tragedy you have suffered was your bout with STD and a cheating husband. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO SUFFER LOSS LIKE THIS. AND YOU CANNOT NOR CAN YOUR FAMILY SAY YOU SYMPATHIZE, WORSE EMPATHIZE WITH THE PEOPLE. YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE SUCH HYPOCRITES

    Whatever his motive, whether;
1.) to escape his responsibility to Kagay-anons or
2.) he cannot be absent due to long-scheduled party

whatever the truth is, he is the president.

Try mo ikaw president, let's see saan ka mag decide.

This article is "PURELY EMOTIONAL" the very basic nature of a Filipino people "melo-dramatic."

Can we stop judging the Executive President.

Sige try it, mag president ka and you will see the most devastating decision you have ever made in your whole wild life.

Is there a perfect person? NO.
Lahat sinners, so is the Executive President.

    Okay gets?

Our role as constituents ay tulungan kung ano man ang pagkukulang ng head. Help the president instead sa kanyang ka kulangan.

All I wan't to say is that, Cagayan de Oro is in her worst condition right now. Do you still have time to criticize the Executive Head, c'mmon wake up, spend your time to help our fellow Kagay-anons instead.

HELP INSTEAD OF CRITIZING. WORK, AND YOU SHALL BE BLESSED.

Pwede bang unahin muna ang tulong sa ating mga kababayan at dasal sa mga pamilyang nasawi and please, let's see what our president is or will do in this situation, wag ung agad2 kayo judge dahil lang dun sa partying issue niya.

Please be open-minded. I know the president is doing his job. Forget the "partying issue" guys. Concentrate on the country's problem.

    ReplyDelete
  118. It was BALLSY who said "Ngayon, 'yun namang party ay matagal nang.." and not Kris as you wrote.

I'm not surprised with Pnoy's actions. Since nahalal siya, no-show naman talaga siya sa areas na tinatamaan ng kalamidad, at least not right away. Halos lahat ng Presidente ganoon, Obama, Prime ministers, etc.. because they rely on the channels and government agencies in-charge.

It's just that emotional ang mga Pilipino, and gets comfort/moral boost in seeing people physically attending to them, that's a fact. Gusto natin nang karamay. To be fair, if Pinoy attended the party, tingin ko it doesn't imply he didn't mobilized the designated units to help flooded victims or wala siyang ginawa at all.

I think majority of the Filipino people would prefer a President who will fly in right away, dive in the mud to reach out to the victims.. and that's fine. Unfortunately, that's not PNoy, not GMA, not Ramos, Obama, and so on.. and I think that's fine too.

Personally, maybe, I'd feel better (right at the moment only) if I see PNoy visiting me in a evacuation site or in my mud-filled house. BUT hey, I need the goods para tulungan ako makabangon more than PNoy's handshake.

And I'd demand for supplies than the Pnoy's visit in times like this.

  133. very well written and i agree it was definitely a lame excuse to make. did he even make a national statement no, it was very insensitive of her to say , give us a break? he is the president of the philippines, no he does not get breaks if he wants to he shouldn't have been president. his people are dead, hungry and all what are they worried about? oh right the party hindi pwede i-cancel. right. i wonder what your mother or father will say if they were alive.

"kayo ang boss k". nakakahiman isipin pero s tingin ng iba c pinoy ay isang magaling n pinuno kaya nga sya above nornal. pero s tingin k makakawawa ang mga pilipino kapag nag tagal p cya s pwesto. hindi cya karapat dapat s pwesto n iyan kc hindi nya kayang mamuno. for our country's sake do something heroic like your mother and father. give my country a true leader.

  139. Sorry to say this but apparently the president of the Philippines have no balls! He should resolve and respond the issues personally instead of his sisters talking about non-sense defenses to the public. Those bitches are not the president so they better keep their mouth shut if they can't say something nice! As a president or public figure they oath or pledge to prioritize the people, by the people, and for the people...so kris defenses is a total trash! PNOY DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE IN HIS POSITION!!!!!

  142. There is nothing to apologize. In any situation the President would never go there without having enough information and the situation analyzed. Instead he coordinated with his subordinates to do their respective task. It's not that he had forsaken the people from Cagayan de Oro for not being there as it happens. Even if we put a LEFTIST President won't make any difference. Why cant we just work for the betterment of this Country? Rather than pointing fingers for the blame!

  143. I don't like this line of Kris Aquino If it's true that this comes out from her mouth..."That party was for the PSG, ang mga nag-aalaga sa Pangulo at sa kanyang pamilya. Tradisyon 'yon na talagang every year ay nagsasama-sama. Kasi it's time to thank them for always being there. At saka alam naman nating lahat na binibigay nila ang buhay nila para mapangalagaan ang Pangulo."... Haay nku KRIZIE! ang PRESIDENTE ang nangangalaga sa mga mamamayan uie!Cya ang naglilingkud sa BAYAN, pero nasaan cya nung kinakailangan cya ng BAYAN? Ang PRESIDENTE para ding Doctor laging ON-CALL sa lahat ng bagay, lalo na sa mga pangyayaring ganito. May kasabihan nga tayo na "BAYAN MUNA BAGO ANG SARILI" dba? aww!!!MERON PA BAH? ayyy naku!!! sanay MATUWID MO MUNA ANG LANDAS MO MR. PRESIDENT!

  149. It's not a an "either-or" situation! Come on, the president also has a private time. And the party was for the PSG and their families. It is not for the rich and socialites. Ang Pilipino talaga ang galing mangdikta e wala naman din silang ginagawa to help the victims. Ano naman ang masama sa sabihin mo ng Isa or dalawang oras to meet the PSGs and theor families. Tsk tsk. Hay Pinoy talaga ang galing magmalinis.

  150. I think your outrage is misplaced and that you took Kris' words out of context.

She did not say that she or the President didn't care; in fact, she specifically said that it was crazy for anyone to think that Noynoy didn't care. She and the other sisters were merely pointing out that:

    1. People die all the time. Tragedies happen all the time. Do you expect the President to be present at every funeral in the country?

    2. What would his presence have contributed to the efforts of organizations to improve the situation there? Did he not monitor the relief work as the sister mentioned?

    3. Would his presence there in fact not have improved but rather impeded the efforts there because of the additional security and logistics of having a President around?

Per ABS-CBNNEW: Sendong the worlds deadliest storm for 2011, "Since the storm hit in the middle of the night, and affected an unprepared population that had no flood warning system in place, the death toll was tragically high," he said.

  162. I am not fans of kris aquino or Pnoy, but if we are smart enough and broad minded person you'll get her point right away! If you mourned to someone or help someone do it heartedly and don't expect in return or else you're doing it just to get some benefits or something. Dont tell them what to do cause they know what to do its just that they are not robot to be easily remoted in just one click they can right away do our selfishness commands lolz! But kidding aside during this time of all calamities we need not to blame people but we have to be understanding and be patient in evrrything, that's the big help that best we can do!!! Stop critizicing or making some advantages to do our self so called "own agenda" :) be people! Be humane! And be unite! This is just my self opinion. Thanks if you would appreciate it. Good morning and good day! God bless!

  163. Cheers to you. I, for one, am not an anti-Ninoy, however, the shallow-minded kris has ruined it all. Yet again, she has let words slip from her mouth without thinking. I am currently in a foreign country and I can tell you, that when a tragedy as bad as the Sendong one, even the Queen of England stops what she does in order to pay homage to the affected people. Kris is an absolute fish brain. I hope she reads this. She is a disgrace to their clan. Maybe that's why even stupid men like her exes left her because of her stupidity. Of course, life goes on for her. She does not give a rat's ass who gets affected.

  168. Cagayan de Oro is a mere hour and twenty minutes from Manila. If he really wanted to attend the PSG party, Pnoy could have gone to CDO during the day and be back in Manila for the party. We Kagay-anons would have just wanted to see him as one who was there in sympathy, in concern and care for his people. For many, his mere presence would have sufficed. Kala ko ba, we, the people, are your "BOSS"? I guess your heart is not in the right place, Mr. President...or do you have one?

  173. What happened to Northern Mindanao is pitiful.

Equally pathetic is the author of this story, who only has rancor in his heart. If truly you mean what you wrote, where were you too during the devastation?

We lost a cousin, and several of them lost their houses which was completely wiped out by the roaring floods. We people from Mindanao don't need this commentary. So please, focus on the issue, and may peace reign in your heart.

Even before reading the content of the blog, my tears started pouring upon seeing the images. As a mother of 3 very young children, my heart bled for the families who have lost their children. It's a shame that Kris can say that life goes on. It's a shameless display of lack of compassion. To your point, the nation mourned for their parents, and yet their response to these families is "life must go on"? Shameless. I hope they do not suffer the same fate that these families went through. I wish I can say that I will pray for them, but I am too angry and will reserve my prayers to those who deserve.

  181. TAMA!

As to the apology, I would say that an apology from Pnoy and PAGASA are not sufficient.

I call on Pnoy to give a mandate for the proper government agency to formalize a root cause analysis of the flooding and too much soil erosion, then initiate the corrective and preventive actions. We, Filipinos are good thinkers and doers, and excel in our jobs in foreign countries. Can't we do the same thing in our own country?

The Filipino voted the wrong president. Noynoy your "matuwid na daan" was nothing but a wasted campaign promise. Puro ka pulitika. Look around you Mr. President. Filipinos are dying from hunger, Pinoys are losing hope because of unemployment and a bleak future because of your ineptness. Puro ka yabang. I remember you bragging about zero casualties under your administration. Madaming namatay sa tragedy sa Mindanao. San and zero casualty na pinangako mo? Puro ka yabang. Sana magising na ang mga Pinoy at ma-realize na you're not the President we had hoped for. Mali. Maling-mali.

  184. I think we should no blame or point any person at all...especially today we need a helping hand not a pointing finger, even to the president... Ask yourself, are you able to help people in CDO or Iligan more than the government? Or just your emotion to outcry? Or maybe politicking? Which is better, the government's aids or your pure opinion? Just asking...

  185. I too mourn for all the lives that were loss every time there is a calamities that befell in our country....but we can't blame it all to the National Government....first and for most is the local leaders of that community that was affected by that catasthropy, second Pagasa with their old equipments tried their best to do their job and keep giving the latest bulliteen on the path of the weather or storm, it is then the job of the local leaders to do what is necessary to protect it's own locality...that's why they are there....but the main problems is the hard headedness of most of us Filipinos....ang Pinoy malinis sa sarili pero madumi sa kapaligiran......aminin natin o Hindi man....we are self centered ...not Community centered...that's why we have lots and lots of problems......my two cents thinking only...

  188. I think that Kris was right that life should go on. I think also that life in CDO should really go on. And part of that moving forward is to stand on both feet and affirm life.

Millions of Filipinos are really eager to help but not everyone can really come to help, especially the OFWs. We do as much as we could to help. But our life must go on too. Only on both (the Filipinos) our feet can we really battle life's struggle especially in this most celebrated time of the year.

In everything that happens, just thank God! Survivors survived because God knows that they can battle it out. Out from the wasteland that nature gave to CDO and Iligan.
