Boo! Trillianes is on You!

This is what Esperon is telling the whole nation--there's another round of coups coming from, guess! Trillianes etal. While saying that the group is small, nonetheless, Esperon wants to again impress his boss. We know the good general is just talking bull but he wants to be relevant still, so, just forgive the poor guy.

What the danger of Esperon again raising the coup bogey? Well, well-meaning officers could use this to actually launch something serious, dead serious, after February 9, 2008. Since his extension is already in the bag, people from the Armed Forces would probably use this to again attack GMA. To be honest, I don't see anything that would imply a revolutionary situation. Whoever would think of launching something against Arroyo at this point would be extremely foolish. Why? All the elements of a successful coup are absent.

Another thing--is the Magdalo group so small and so insignificant that their enemies are using them for propaganda purposes? It seems to be like that. Imagine, your own enemy telling the world that you're actually launching something by the first half of January. It's like telling the world how weak and insignificant you are.

For Esperon, this is what the people want you to do--retire and fade like a soldier.
