GMA apologists and pseudo-activists

I've read the blog angtagalnaman.blogspot.com. Media reported that the blog has a countdown for Gloria's descent to power in 2010. I've checked it, expecting something different. Yes, it was different. It was a parody, a joke of a blog. What's worst, it was portrayed as an anti-gloria blog but sadly, it was'nt.

I know Roby Alampay and possibly Ruben C or Ruben Carranza. Like Alex Magno, they are Gloria apologists masquerading as legitimate activists. They have sold their souls when they accepted positions of power under this despicable regime. They are still writing stuff, criticizing the opposition and making Gloria look good.

This blog want us to be complacent and just wait for 2010. Yeah, Alampay can say that. He can wait. He's rich. And he's far, far away. He now works in Thailand, sitting comfortably in his glitzy apartment, and trying to beautify Gloria. What a waste of talent!

Alampay belongs to Defensor's generation in UP-Diliman. Those who we can say as the last activists who took part in EDSA 1 includes: David Celdran (I salute this guy. He has'nt changed. He still has the fire in him despite reporting about business in ANC), Bong Bongolan (Mike Defensor's trusted general and strategist and previously headed the Home Mortgage agency), Ruben Carranza (our Collegian Editor-In-Chief who humiliated former UP head Jose Abueva in STF discussions and working now with the PCGG?), Amor Datinguinoo (bar top-notcher and fiery thinker during her time), Miro Quimbo (heads the Pag-Ibig Fund. Very funny person. And very efficient), Angelo Jijil Jimenez (now works as Deputy Administrator of OWWA) and of course, me.

Among the lists of people, only Amante Jimenez (former USC Chairman, 1990-1991) remained within the activist mold. The rest have all been eaten by the system. That includes Alampay. Reason? Their "proletarianization" was never completed. These people belonged to the middle class. They became activists because of the times. They never really felt the pulse of the masses.

Hence, do not be misled by this blog. This is a concoction of Gloria's apologists.
