The blabberings of GMA's apologists

Gary Olivar, the purported "expert in economic affairs" of Mrs. Gloria Arroyo's press team, just gave Senator Noynoy Aquino an "unsolicited advice". He said that Noynoy should be a "man" and that "he should stand by his own two feet" and not bask in the legacy (or glory?) of his parents.

Olivar also lambasted people, especially Noynoy, for saying that this is a fight between "good" and "evil". Not quite, says Olivar. For neither is Gloria good nor evil. She just does her work.

Quite uncalled for, I dare say. For Gary is not the best person to say all those things, what after abandoning the struggle for the masses and deciding to work for someone who is neither a man nor a woman, but the demon personified.

Come to think of it, it's really for economic reasons that Olivar tried that cheap shot. Hey, if his boss loses the game, Olivar could find himself jobless and shirtless and maybe even the prospect of jail. When we're all finished with Gloria, Olivar, along with her apologists, will just have to spend their remaining lives either in jail or esconced in Babuyan Islands.

And Gary, for those who know him, is also neither a man nor a woman. Nothing extremely bad about it. But if you choose a gender but you don't act like one, then, you're nothing but a pitiful sissy.

Gary is just one of many who once struggled for the people but is now a paid apologist of this devil enfant. If you remember, Gary is a former anti-Marcos student leader. He used to regale many by his wit and his rantings. Now, he rants no more. He just counts his money.

When a former activist abandons his sandals, and puts on his expensive shoes and dresses like a businessman, there's not one iota of doubt that he's already worse than those people he once criticized. The worst abusers are the ones who once shouted against tyranny.

Same goes to revisionist Alex Magno, who thinks of himself as an "Marxist" emperor. When Alex was given some 10 million pesos by a former Arroyo ally to be his consultant, Alex went all out and sold his soul. Magno always credits himself with sparking twin revolts, which, for all intents and purposes, were bogus ones.

Magno has abandoned the proletarian ways and comforts himself with the luxuries of intellectual bargain hunting. Can't really blame him. The glitter of those stolen billions are much more valuable than the praises of a few intellectuals. There's no value in those praises, except maybe getting immortalized in academic circles.
It's the fault of UP because they give their professors pitiful salaries, leading some of them to go the way of the devil instead of keeping the flame alive. Like Rizal used to say, some moths just can't stop themselves from going to the fire.

Good that Bobi Tiglao, Gloria's cabalen, is now enjoying the time of his life abroad. Unlike Alex, Bobi decided that it's just time for him to go the route of a diplomat instead of crossing swords with former comrades. I doubt if Tiglao would ever dare question those Le Cirque dinners or Mikey's US$ 1.3 million house in the states. Being used to the good life these past few years have made hard-core anti-Marcos activists like him, Gary and Alex, the foremost promoters of immorality, brutality, tyranny and even anarchy. They became worse than Marcos. And if they think that they'll not get punished by the people for their ass-licking ways, think twice.

The people never forget their enemies.

GMA apologists and pseudo-activists

I've read the blog angtagalnaman.blogspot.com. Media reported that the blog has a countdown for Gloria's descent to power in 2010. I've checked it, expecting something different. Yes, it was different. It was a parody, a joke of a blog. What's worst, it was portrayed as an anti-gloria blog but sadly, it was'nt.

I know Roby Alampay and possibly Ruben C or Ruben Carranza. Like Alex Magno, they are Gloria apologists masquerading as legitimate activists. They have sold their souls when they accepted positions of power under this despicable regime. They are still writing stuff, criticizing the opposition and making Gloria look good.

This blog want us to be complacent and just wait for 2010. Yeah, Alampay can say that. He can wait. He's rich. And he's far, far away. He now works in Thailand, sitting comfortably in his glitzy apartment, and trying to beautify Gloria. What a waste of talent!

Alampay belongs to Defensor's generation in UP-Diliman. Those who we can say as the last activists who took part in EDSA 1 includes: David Celdran (I salute this guy. He has'nt changed. He still has the fire in him despite reporting about business in ANC), Bong Bongolan (Mike Defensor's trusted general and strategist and previously headed the Home Mortgage agency), Ruben Carranza (our Collegian Editor-In-Chief who humiliated former UP head Jose Abueva in STF discussions and working now with the PCGG?), Amor Datinguinoo (bar top-notcher and fiery thinker during her time), Miro Quimbo (heads the Pag-Ibig Fund. Very funny person. And very efficient), Angelo Jijil Jimenez (now works as Deputy Administrator of OWWA) and of course, me.

Among the lists of people, only Amante Jimenez (former USC Chairman, 1990-1991) remained within the activist mold. The rest have all been eaten by the system. That includes Alampay. Reason? Their "proletarianization" was never completed. These people belonged to the middle class. They became activists because of the times. They never really felt the pulse of the masses.

Hence, do not be misled by this blog. This is a concoction of Gloria's apologists.

Palparan--Liability for the entire AFP

The Court of Appeals just found retired General Jovito Palparan liable for the disappearance of two farmers in 2006. This is concrete evidence of the culpability or complicity of the AFP in human rights violations. Do we expect this administration to prosecute The Butcher?

I extremely doubt it.

This administration has an unspoken policy against its enemies. And this policy involves elimination. Arroyo started the ball rolling with a declaration of war against the CPP-NPA-NDF. The AFP has a deadline--2010. Arroyo also pronounced death on the MILF and the ASG. The AFP has been unsuccessful so far. Why? Because the people hate them. And why do the people hate the AFP?

One, the AFP establishment continues to support an illegitimate president. Two, it continues to lie about its part on human rights violations. And third, it continues to stifle dissent from its ranks. Reform-minded officers are put in jail and those who advocate for the total cleansing of the ranks are branded as destabilizers.

Palparan's continued stellar role as this administration's Berdugo adds to the people's distrust. What's worst, Palparan's taste for blood continues even after his tenure as Army general. Much worst is this news that Palparan had a role in the killing of a Davao journalist upon the alleged instigation of a legislator. Palparan, now a paid assassin? I surely hope not. Because this puts the anti-Communist campaign on a very bad light.

It is to the best interest of the AFP to silence Palparan. Otherwise, we may yet see the people themselves silencing the braggart.

Magno's relevance

Philippine Star Columnist Alex Magno said that the CPP-NPA-NDF is becoming irrelevant. I ask Magno--what's relevant to him? Supporting an illegitimate and extremely becoming a conjugal dictatorship such as this Arroyo regime? What money can do for Magno.

Magno became "relevant" when he was used by Speaker Joe de Venecia in decimating the Estrada regime. After the successful coup d'etat, Magno was appointed to various positions in government. Magno became rich (ten million pesos richer, I was informed) when he sold his soul to the trapos. People in the academe says that Magno was a great loss to the movement because he's one of those who hold promise as a socialist.

I dare say with certainty that Magno is not a loss. In fact, it was a blessing for the Movement to have Magno exposed as an opportunist and a great double-agent.

If Palparan is this state's agent of physical destruction, Magno serves as its ideological ivory tower breaker. These two stooges form part of a team of deconstructionists whose sole task is to debilitate the Movement. I do believe however, that these two stupid dogs will die before the Movement totally loses relevance.

First, the Movement will live on, probably not in its complete form as a Marxist-Leninist-Mao Zedong thought organisation but as a totally dynamic socialist movement. The CPP-NPA-NDF will continue to innovate and assume forms attuned to the times. This is its fate. If it's really the genuine people's party, it will accept the winds of change instead of holding on to the Red Book.

Second, its 39 years of existence shows its enemies that the Party will survive the ravages of time, probably not in the form it envisage decades ago, but in a form still adherent to Maoism yet totally open to other socialist ideas of this time.

And third, the form that the Party will assume is now in its infancy. Going back to the tenets of the Katipunan, which the CPP-NPA-NDF recognizes as its original roots, the Party will continue to be relevant to those among us who want change.

I dare say and I say with certainty, Magno will lose relevance in 2008 and beyond along with Palparan because the people will see beyond their facades and deceit and find lapdogs with hollow brains and saliva flowing from their mouths. As the Bible says, they will be men who'll swallow their own puke.
