Spare us the agony, Dr. Kho

There’s a concerted P.R. effort to “salvage” the ruined reputation of Dr. Hayden Kho. Allegedly, the former PR man of Erap Estrada was tasked by no less than Dr. Vicki Belo to help Kho repair his damaged image.

Belo should realize that the best way for Dr. Hayden Kho to repair his tarnished image is simply go straight to jail. Simple. Easy. And the best remedy for everybody. Kho’s apology is simply not enough. He needs rehabilitation. And the best way to do it is incarceration.

And if Kho is really sincere on his apology, he must pack his bags and prepare to spend six years in Muntinlupa. He’ll enjoy himself there, I guess. He must pay for violating the law.

If Kho escapes this one, I sincerely believe that there’s really something wrong with our justice system.

  1. under what law? isn't it why they have this senate hearing to aid legislation (i.e. because there is no such law in place currently)?

  2. for me, aside from hayden dapat yung nagakalat ang may pinaka malaking kasalanan.....that was only for hayden's file. why are they getting it without the permission of the owner when that videos were very very private.

  3. Iyon na nga, pareho tayo ng iniisip. Walang law na naviolate, kasi gagawin pa lang ang law. Also, sinong lalaki ang hindi tumitingin sa pornography, in whatever form of media. Maraming ipokrito, no 1 si Bong, the dishonorable senator of the Phil. Bakit ang focus ay duon sa nag record, hindi duon sa nagkalat ng video, at sa pagnanakaw na ginawa sa hard drive ni Dr Kho.

  4. hi anonymous,

Kho clearly violated the Anti-violence law against women and children. He also violated the anti-wire tapping law when he admitted that one of the films which he shot Katrina was not permitted by the latter.

those are the laws he violated and he should be made accountable for it.

With all due respect Sir, matagal na po atang may problema ang justice system natin. I wouldn't be surprised if Hayden Kho doesn't spend a single day in jail.

  7. well....we must do something about it.

that's why I'm writing about this scandal to point out that a small fry such as Hayden, who also happens to have some very powerful backers, can escape the long arm of the law because of influence peddling.

kailan kaya natin masosolve ang lahat ng ito?

  8. not a fan of hayden nor katrina...

i haven't seen the hayden-katrina sex video, but based on what many people say, katrina looked like she knew she was being taped while doing "it"... in this case, i can't exactly say that hayden is the only 1 to blame... it takes 2 to tango

i have seen the video that they were dancing to careless whisper... there's no denying that katrina knew this one, as she was talking to the camera... c'mon, if you're a "decent" woman that you're "portraying" in media now, would you wear your underwear dancing while being taped??? and would you have given your "puso't kaluluwa" to someone you know who's involved in another relationship???

im a woman too, and definitely against all these against women, but i feel no sympathy whatsoever towards katrina... hypocrisy exemplified

  9. FYI

KAtrina through her lawyer said that they have no problem with the videos showing her and hayden singing / dancing to the tune of "careless whisper".Obviously, yung sex video lang ang nirereklamo nya.

And she's not claiming she is a saint/ decent woman / etc etc, she is just fighting for her right.

Her privacy was violated, sobra sobrang violated, kasi hubot hubad na video nya ang nakita ng mga tao.Sobrang nakakahiya ang ginawa sa kanya.

Lahat ng mga tao may karapatan, maski mga hostess may karapatan, under our law nga mga victims pa sila.

So unfortunately for those people who think Katrina and women like her deserve to be humiliated like that, ang batas po natin ay hindi umaayon sa inyo.

  10. I would like to comment on the laws you cited that Dr. Kho allegedly violated.

I guess the main thrust for a violation of the VAWC or R.A. 9262, would be psychological violence but here we ust take note of the fact that the existence and making of the said videos are not the PROXIMATE CAUSE of the violence but rather the malicious distribution and circulation of the videos that caused psychological damage to Ms. Halili so rguably he cannot be held liable for that and being criminal in nature, Dr. Kho enjoys the huge presumption of innocence that the prosecution must overcome.

Now on to the anti-wiretapping law, Katrina admitted the she knew that she was being taped on the several occasions, that clearly shows consent on her part, meaning again that the defense can clearly show that the conversations between the two protagonist were consensual in nature hence no violation of the said law. Again the case being criminal in nature, the accused is entitled to the presumption of innocence and the burden of proving a violation beyond reasonable doubt lies within the prosecution.

Clearly from the foregoing Dr. Kho can, and in humble opinion, should be absolved from any CRIMINAL liability, there being no clear and concrete evidence to establish his liability from any of our EXISTING laws.

Now this is not to say that he is without fault or liability. As he has so openly confessed he was wrong in taping the intimate moments with various women, he must pay for those. how? civil indemnification, moral reprisals and sincere rehabilitation are to my mind the acceptable consequences of his actions. I guess if he truly want to help the women involved in these type of scandals then he must continue to help formulate laws to prevent and curtail the said immoral, though at the present not illegal, activities by telling the truth on the whos, hows and whys of the whole controversy.
