EDSA is unfinished business: LABAN NI CORY!

Even in death, Cory Aquino continues to inspire and lead us to struggle for a Truly Just and Humane society.

As I write this, more than 30,000 Filipinos are milling along Ayala avenue, specifically at the corner of Makati avenue and Ayala, before the monument of Cory's slain husband, Ninoy Aquino.

Chants of "Cory, Cory,Cory!" filled the air as thousands of Filipinos show their respects and support behind the leader of the EDSA revolution.

Numerous flags and banners particularly of the August 21 Movement or ATOM dot the landscape, while other Filipinos hold yellow colored balloons which they release into the air shortly after the hearse bearing the remains of Cory pass them by.

Confetti rained all throughout the stretch of Ayala avenue, reminiscent of those times when Filipinos stood up against a dictator. Thousands raised their hands, forming the "L" sign, the symbol of resistance against any form of dictatorship, tyranny and oppression.

This is proof enough, that the Spirit of EDSA remains within all of us. It resides in all our hearts. It shows that Filipinos love freedom. It shows that we treasure our liberties more than any other thing in the world.

I urge every Filipino to continue the fight of Cory, that is, a fight against tyranny, a struggle against oppression and domination and a war against graft and immorality.

The Spirit of EDSA is still alive. And those who are in the wrong side of History should quake in fear and trepidation, knowing that the Filipino is now an awakened dragon, ready to end all forms of oppression and deception.
