Last night, the second meeting between Senator Mar Roxas and Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III was held in Makati. Liberal Party stalwarts were tight-lipped on what transpired. However, one source said that the possibility of a Noynoy Aquino-Mar Roxas seems plausible as each day passes.
Just recently, the Aksyon Demokratiko already invited Noynoy to be their standard bearer. There are indications that Ed Panlilio already threw his support behind Noynoy while Harvey Keh's Kaya Natin! and the Black and White Movement are already moving to fortify the Noynoy for President Movement (NAPM).
The only citizen's organization behind Mar Roxas is Akbayan, since its representative, Risa Hontiveros will be running as senator in the Liberal Party slate. Some youth organizers of Akbayan, however, said that should Mar Roxas slide down, then, the entire machinery will shift to Noynoy.
Another citizen's group, this time led by Lawyer Alex Lacson spearheaded another campaign in support of Noynoy. Read the next entry and I'll tell you why Mar Roxas is now on the verge of losing the Liberal Party nomination. And mind you, it's not just because there's a clamor for Noynoy to run.
