Aquino asks Villar--"Where were you when we were fighting the abuses of Arroyo?"

“When you see that there is oppression and you do nothing, you are in effect also supporting that oppressive system.”

This is the quiant response of Liberal party bet Noynoy Aquino on the swipe made by Nacionalista party presidential candidate Senator Manny Villar on his ability to lead the nation in reforms.

Aquino took a jibe at Villar for questioning his capability to lead the nation in genuine reforms. In last Saturday’s presidential debates, Villar took the bull by the horns and lambasted Aquino for two things: (1) Aquino’s alleged lack of managerial competence and (2) the Liberal party’s inability to lead the Nation towards change.

Aquino hits Villar in the jugular by pointedly asking Villar why was he, as Senate president, absent in all those hearings and public fights against the abuses committed by the Arroyo administration.

Manny Villar---an Arroyo surrogate candidate?

Aquino says that even Villar’s shadow was nowhere to be found during those times when all the People were questioning the illegal deals made by the Arroyo administration, particularly that which happened in the NBN-ZTE deal.

For Aquino, this just proves one thing–Villar is also in collusion with the Arroyo administration.

When push came to shove, where were you? What have you done? He says he is not a person who easily picks a fight, but when you see the abuses in the system, does it not make you want to stand up and say enough is enough?” Aquino said in an interview.
Aquino’s diatribe against Villar confirms earlier suspicions that Villar is actually the dummy candidate of Mrs. Arroyo.
