What do we want to see from a Noynoy Ad

Noynoy's latest TVC showing him rapping the problems away with a whole bunch of people lining up behind him is the most stupid and the most idiotic ad I have ever seen in my entire life. Imagine, seeing your candidate, whom people respect and is always seen in pensive mood, rapping and dancing in a very confusing scene--a mixture of rap, rock and reggae fashion all rolled into one 60 seconder.

It is not surprising though that Noynoy lost considerable support from the 24-34 age group and will continue to lose supporters from this age group simply because they were treated with a television ad that simply showed how stupid and how idiotic this politician treats them. And they reacted back by giving Noynoy a dose of his own medicine---you think we're so stupid, we erase your name from our list.

Noynoy enjoys the most trusted political brand name in Philippine history. There is no doubt that he possesses some of the qualities of his ancestors, who are regarded as martyrs of democracy. The question that always linger in the minds of people is simply this---has Noynoy done much for his country, even better and more than what his parents did in their prime?

What we want to see in a television ad is Noynoy asserting leadership in times of crisis. We want to see a Noynoy acting or behaving like a leader, not a stupid rapper.

We want to see a Noynoy being packaged as an iconoclast, someone extraordinary, someone who possesses qualities and skills more than the average Filipino.

We want to be conquered by his ideas. We want to be amazed by his vision. We want to be awed by his presence. We want to be dominated.

I met most of those who are running for the presidency and only a few have this aura that I always saw in Cory, Fidel and Erap. I am referring to Gilbert Gibo Teodoro and Mar Roxas.

Roxas has this aura about him that is beautiful. He seemed to have been blessed by God. Noynoy, at this point, does not have it.

Present us with your vision, Noynoy. Astound us with your leadership. By then, I think, you would have recovered lost ground.

Net---fire Montelibano. She does not know what she's doing. This is politics, not marketing.
