President Aquino hobnobs with Cebuano royalty while rest of Visayas under severe floods

Palawan has been hit by waist-deep floods. Reason? Nickel mining operations had destroyed forests and mountains.

Three municipalities of Palawan had been severely hit by floods caused by torrential rains. Throughout most of the Philippine archipelago, the casualty rate has risen to 60 and about 1.5 million families in 25 provinces have been affected.

The international media has reported this and the entire world knows about this catastrophe here in our country. But, look at the reports of our national media. They focused their reports on the crime scenes while leaving the gory scenes of destruction in the backwaters of people's memories.

While many Samar and Leyte and even Bicol residents wail over their fate, President Noynoy Aquino was seen hobnobbing with wealthy Cebuanos at the Sinulog festival. 1.5 million Filipino families lost their properties due to flooding and were shouting for help, but Noynoy gave them crumbs. He was busy enjoying himself in the Sinulog festival.

This is worse than the purchase of a Porsche especially in these times of distress.

I also remember what Arroyo did in her administration during the height of the Ondoy tragedy. She feasted on lechon served by MWAS administrator Prospero Pichay.
