Lt. Colonel George Rabusa cried after hearing Reyes' suicide

Lieutenant Colonel George Rabusa, the one who accused former General Angelo Reyes of misusing the AFP fund, cried when he heard Reyes has just committed suicide.

At 8:32 in the morning, Reyes was pronounced dead on arrival by doctors at the Quirino Memorial Hospital. Reyes suffered a gunshot wound in the chest. He was with his two sons and two aides when he got his 45 caliber pistol and shot himself before the tomb of his mother at the Loyola Memorial Park. He was already without vital signs when he arrived at the hospital.

Rabusa said that he was shocked to hear the death of Reyes. Rabusa could not believe the incident.

Rabusa is a godfather of two of Reyes' kids. Rabusa was the budget officer of Reyes when he was still the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Sources say Reyes conferred with some of his close associates the night before he decided to visit the tomb of his mother. A debate reportedly happened.

Meanwhile, Rabusa is quite disturbed by the news of Reyes' death. He claims to be very close to Reyes. He now fears that relatives of the former defense secretary will blame him for his death.

  9. This has been a very disturbing case. It makes me question whether this is what the country needs at the moment or are we being tricked into sidelining the real issues facing the country, i.e. high unemployment.

  12. Why blame the person who tell the truth? If there are persons to be blamed they are those who made the decision to get money from the coffers of government. Siphoning government money including foreign aid to personal accounts. Rabusa just did what a person with conscience should do. If those mentioned by Rabusa have their sense of responsibility and are clean as they say they are, they should have courage to face and tell the truth like what Rabusa did...

Smelling like a rose in the end. Judgement will be in heaven. I hope you live to suffer the pains you have brought to the Filipino people.God know who you truly are.
