Noodles and prices of basic commodities on the rise

Prices of noodles and canned goods have increased by 10 percent. Meaning, if your regular noodle pack costs 10 pesos, it's now 11 pesos. The Filipinos' most favorite noodle brand, Luckyme, has increased by 5 percent.

Milk products also increased prices by 10 percent. Prices of sugar hovers between 67 to 70 pesos per kilo.

This administration is really testing the patience of Filipinos. Imagine, Filipinos have already adjusted their eating habits just to survive the economic crisis, by shifting to noodles instead of rice, and here you are, allowing noodle prices to increase further. I would not be surprised if the price of this new staple food would approximate the price of rice.

I'm earning  70plus per month, but I noticed that my salary is still inadequate to fund the needs of five people. I consume a full tank's worth of diesel every single week, pays for parking every single day and eat lunch costing about 200 pesos each day. I pay for amortization. Still, at the end of the month, I get nothing from it.

How much do one need to survive in the Philippines? 100,000 pesos?
