People still trust Noynoy Aquino

President Noynoy Aquino's public trust and disapproval ratings rose nearly a few months before his first year in office. However, 3 out of 4 Pinoys still has high regard of him.

I think Filipinos are giving Noynoy some benefit of the doubt and still hopeful that he will implement the things or programs he promised to the Filipino People when he was still campaigning for the presidency.

Probably, people also believe that he is just giving some of those who supported him a breather to recover their investments, before, say, he truly works for a cleaner government.

Political jockeying is still very much prevalent in government, particularly at the Bureau of Customs where a man accused of graft was retained in his post and a man who raised collections was transferred to some obscure office and replaced with someone who plays dirty games.

But, don't be cocky though.

Noynoy is very far from being a Teflon man. He is still being hurt by several jabs against him. His public persona is still very vulnerable.

The People is still giving Noynoy a chance to use his high approval ratings to accomplish the necessary changes in our government. With a high approval rating, Noynoy can push for the immediate passage of the Right to Information bill, the Reproductive Health bill and other measures which require immediate attention.
