The height of Crass at Dolphy's wake

We Filipinos respect our dead. As much as possible, when we visit someone's wake, we exercise proper decorum.


I don't know about Annabelle Rama.


Yesterday, Rama reportedly hit a showbiz reporter whom she met during Dolphy's wake at the Heritage Park in Taguig City.


It was the third night of the Comedy King's public viewing. 


The showbiz reporter, Chito Alcid, fell, an embarrassing scene for him. Alcid is thinking of filing a criminal case against Rama.


For many of those who saw the incident on television, many of them thought that it was an impropriety, since Rama and Alcid were there to pay their last respects to the King of Comedy.


Dolphy, a modicum of class and sophistication when he was still alive, would have probably cringed at this. Annabelle really should have exercised decorum and contained her temper. Such acts are what we call the height of crass.
