Alleged Puno Raid on Robredo's Condo--Aquino's Watergate?

In 1972, a team of supposed Nixon agents went inside the National Democratic Committee office in Washington DC. That break-in led to an investigation and a cover-up which so angered the American public that it eventually led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon.

Many observers believe that the same case happened just recently when close Aquino buddy and DILG undersecretary Rico Puno led a "raiding team" in the condominium unit of former DILG secretary Jesse Robredo. This alleged "raid" was reportedly upon orders to "secure the office of Robredo" from possible break-ins.

That order, as admitted by President Aquino himself, was issued on August 18, a day when official search and rescue teams tried and eventually failed to get the DILG secretary alive. Secretary Jesse Robredo was found dead on August 21.

Many observers are skeptical and some of these people are spreading unsubstantiated rumors about Robredo's death. Many are saying that Robredo was probably assassinated. There is a rumor spreading to the effect that Robredo's plane was "bombed".

How true? And why would someone kill a Robredo?

Observers think it is because of an arms deal gone sour. Or an investigation about illegal logging.Or, many believe, it is because of an internal jueteng investigation which Robredo carried out several months prior.

A source confirmed that the list of jueteng supporters and operators is allegedly missing. The Robredo files, according to a source, contains a list of jueteng supporters from the Aquino administration. There are reportedly two copies. One copy is missing. The other one, has been "secured" by authorities.

Where is this Robredo list about jueteng? MOre on the alleged Robredo files....
