Was DAP a bribe by the palace to the Senators who voted to impeach Chief Justice Corona?

Senator Bong Revilla failed to establish the fact that the President committed an impeachable offense when he met him and asked his cooperation in the impeachment of former Chief Justice Renato Corona. Everyone knows that a few months after the impeachment trial, the DBM released the DAP to Senators, leading several sectors to say, that the DAP was a reward to those who voted yes.

The thing is, even if we think that the DAP was indeed, a reward, was there anything that would link it to the impeachment trial? Was it an inducement for those who voted yes?

The gut feel of several people tends to say yes, but, in a court of law, gut feel does not qualify as an automatic proof of culpability. For DAP to stick as a cause of impeachment, there must be an admission on those given the DAP and those who voted yes. The act must have such a regularity that it is safe to presume legally that it was indeed used as an inducement.

So, admission and of course, documents which will state matter-o-factly that the DAP was used to induce senators to vote yes.

This explains why the palace is very brave in encouraging sectors to file an impeachment against the president because there is a lack of definitive proof or evidence that the Chief Executive violated any of the six requisites for his impeachment.

But of course, some sectors would say that former president Joseph Estrada was ousted even before the senate rendered its decision against him.

IMpeachments are political affairs. A president may be ousted even if there is insufficient proof of criminal offense yet the accusation must be strong enough to elicit "strong emotions" from the people. Meaning, timing is of an essential element here.

Will president Aquino be ousted before his term ends? I doubt it.
