Now the truth has been revealed--PNP just sensationalized this media witchhunt to justify its oppressive actions. Before, I used to admire PNP Chief Avelino Razon. Now, my admiration to this gentleman has waned considerably. I am very disappointed.
Razon should not be a party to these ridiculous things. Imagine, saying that a reporter helped Faeldon escaped when the RPN 9 footage shows no such proof. You know what the police did? One day after the Peninsula siege, police confiscated footages of all government TV stations, including RPN 9. When reviewing the tapes of RPN 9, IBC 13 and NBN 4, police discovered the footage taken by Ino Salvador, the assigned cameraman at that time. That's when police postulated that reporter Dana Batnag was giving a press ID to Faeldon. But, look closely at the footage. Dana was NOT giving any press ID. She was interviewing Faeldon.
Tsk,tsk, tsk. Sir, you and your men should be very, very careful. You have lost considerable credibility because of this issue. I recommend that you and the rest of the police institution should apologize to the Philippine media immediately. Your fuzzy foot has been in your mouth for so long.
