Gil Scott-Heron

Gil Scott-Heron, the one who changed the face of music and brought it from the ground up, is dead. He's 62.

My poem for Gil

" The Revolution was, indeed, televised."

and.he.faces.the music.like a babe tryin to reach for that handof his motheror like an old manreachin for another old man's cane.
after a life of strugglehis life always un-televisednow his revolution hasturned in coldwith the massesstill livin like ghosts.
yep, his revolution will now be televisedhis death a cause of concernwas it drugs that did him inor melancholy has set doubts in?
by and by, the revolution was, indeed, televisedand became part of the system.the revolution has not changed anything.it just been televised.
