What we saw yesterday, a highly incensed Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago lambasting former Senate president Juan Ponce Enrile shows how we treat public service and public monies--we have the least regard for it.
I am glad that both Senators are at the twilight of their lives. Imagine, how many millions of pesos worth of their executive times which we pay with our taxes will be spent wantonly with their octogenarian antics.
Really now, we don't deserve such people in government. Yes, they're probably brilliant, but both are emotionally deficient. They forgot that every single time they spent in that pulpit cost us money. By doing what they did yesterday just proved to all that we have senators for idiots.
