Binay defends porkers

Vice president Jejomar Binay describes Ruby Tuason's testimony as a "dud". The former human rights lawyer brushing aside such a valuable direct testimony from the one who claims to have distributed the monies herself, talked with those involved face-to-face and even claims to have gotten millions as commissions, with documents and all, and all of these are just "duds"?

Binay might have thought that it will serve him good defending his pals from funds indiscretions. In my book, those who defend these people from these infidelities in the custody of public funds are themselves, equally guilty of committing the same thing.

I just don't know if Binay has his own ghost projects. Everyone knows that he has his sets of condominium units though.

This just means to me that if Binay becomes president, he will be tolerant of porkers. What on heavens' name is the world turning itself into?

Stealing people's monies is bad and detestable. Period. No amount of rationale is enough to justify it. You stole people's monies, period.

What this whole pork barrel scam teaches us is very simple--those who live in palatial houses, some of them, are big-time thieves dressed in barongs or americanas. We condemn bank robbers and thieves yet we fete these people with garlands every single time they attend events, especially weddings and all.

Now I know why the business community fears for a Binay presidency.
