Ruby Tuason--bagman with a conscience

Ruby Tuason's smile is gone. She used to be bubbly. Now, with a humongous and detestable scam affixed to her surname forever, Ruby is now a woman with a mission.

In an interview with good friend, Nancy Carvajal of the Inquirer, Ruby says that her friends stopped texting her last Christmas when her name got mentioned as one of the people used by Janet Lim-Napoles as her "bagmen". Imagine, a Tuason as bagman?

The name "Tuason" used to stuck a cord of respectability in social circles for millennia, not until rumors swirled about indiscretions committed by a Tuason before. But, that's forgive-able. What is unfortunate and unthinkable is when a Tuason is linked with thievery of people's monies. No Tuason is a thief. Fact is, Tuasons are vast landowners of lands in the Metro and it is highly unthinkable that one of them would succumb to a few millions from scandals like these. They used to count monies in the billions.

Yet, it happened anyway.

My sources told me that Ruby had already signed a check representing the "commissions" she took from Napoles' projects. To be precise, those commissions arose from her "transactions" with certain political personalities among those, former president Joseph Estrada and his son, Jinggoy.

What prodded Ruby to come out of her shell and reveal what she knew about the scam? Well, her breeding probably did the trick. Ruby is known to be a very devout Catholic. I just don't know why she threw her religion out of the window when she got involved in that pork barrel scam.

When the dread of mortality sets in, and conscience starts eating that soul, those guilty of evil works began their way towards admission and ownership of responsibility. I always believe that people are inherently good until they sniff the smell of money in the air, and its repeated a billion times over.

So, there.
