Seems like the spinmeisters of this entire pork barrel caper are having a very hard time trying to hide the biggest scam ever---the missing 5.8 billion pesos from the Nabcor and Department of Agriculture funds. The Commission on Audit has already released their special audit report. Yet, the high and mighty deemed it wise not to provide their trusty writers "over there" with enough ammunition to tell the public that, hey, these funds were used as political kitty by favored administration bets.
Instead of this meaty and incendiary news, they feed us with showbiz propaganda--the alleged involvement of two members of the media who allegedly received 235,567 pesos as "advertising expenses". The spinmeisters trained their sights on these two gentlemen so that public attention is directed at them, and not the true masterminds of deceit and theft.
People are talking about how less than half a million pesos were spent for advertising expenses, but not how Allan Javellana orchestrated the entire thing to divert millions to Napoles' bogus NGOs. There are talks that the Department of Justice is thinking of presenting Allan Javellana as a witness. My gulai! Javellana could not be a state witness simply because there is overwhelming evidence proving that he is a directly involved in the scam.
There is talk that Javellana's cousin, a former student leader, is in talks with Justice secretary Leila de Lima. This cousin is appealing to de Lima to give his cousin some slack and instead of putting Allan behind bars, to give him some consideration and turn him into a state witness.
And why will de Lima listen to him?
This student leader portrays himself as a water advocate. However, what he is, is far from what he claims to be. The reason why he was kicked out by the movement was because of his syndicalism. He is a gun-for-hire, a hitman of lost causes.
This guy claims to hold sensitive information that would pin members of the Aquino administration over some controversy, which, unknown to de Lima, is entirely bollocks.
This administration should not be selective in its approach in this scam. Those chips should fall where they may. Tamaan ang dapat tamaan. If we want to change things, let those even political allies and kabarilan, kaibigan, katextsan, kapamilya, kapuso, kapatid o ka gimikan be subject to trial.
