Analysis of the NAIA bombing and Woman with a gun inside Palace incidents

The thing about these arrests of these so-called "destabilizers" is that they are isolated incidents or are being treated as such. There are insinuations that they are part of a bigger group which authorities have yet to identity. Needless to say, the individualistic character of their movements either say something to us about "them" or indicates a far sinister and more serious thing which defense authorities need to address immediately and fast.

For example, those arrested say they did these things on their own. Others, well, try to link them to other groups with political motives, most are of course, against government. A lawyer by the name of Ely Pamatong, who has been arrested for doing crazy things like fill EDSA with nail spikes in protest over something unrelated to traffic, has been named as an instigator. When his name crops up, almost immediately the public reaction is this is just a crazy stunt.

But what is more substantive here is the thing which another character by the name of Atty. Oliver Lozano revealed and that his clients are victims of a group of Magdalo soldiers. How they were victimized, Lozano never told us. Another insinuated and I think it was Pamatong who said that the NAIA bombers were part of T/E/R/M, a group linked with Trillanes who wants to create the scenario that would justify the declaration of martial rule. Why martial rule? Well, that is the most "logical" extra legal way to extend Pnoy's term given the fact that if they want to legalize or legitimize Pnoy's term there is no more time to do that. Cha-cha is dead. It can be revived through an extraordinary situation, like, say Congress declares itself as constituent assembly and try to do things on their own. Of course, this is too risky, and puts everything in chaos.

Whatever the motivation of these people are, the sordid fact is that these things are happening under an administration that is supposed to be better than its predecessors. This also belies Palace statements saying that this administration still enjoys a huge following.

Now sans a political backer, the very fact that individuals or persons are moving on their own and against this government shows a boiling pot scenario where an undercurrent of dissent exists and is ready to spill over anytime. The failure of the August 25 rally allows these actions to take place due to several people's thoughts that something should be done to correct or rectify the current situation. There is a problem, and if this remains unresolved, will encouraged people to do these things, ever wilder ones.

What's happening General?

Brigadier General Danny Lim admitted that his rebel group, the Young Officer's Union (YOU) led forces in toppling former president Joseph Estrada. Now, in a weird twist of fate, Lim is reportedly running under the wing of Erap's political party.

Also, today, reports say that the Liberal Party, led by the party's chairman, Franklin Drilon visited both Lim and Senator Antonio Trillianes IV in their prison cells to ask the general to run under the Liberal Party wing. Lim's ratings are not in the top 12 but indications are very high that Lim would surely surge to the top once the formal campaign period starts, just like in Trillianes case.

Certain sectors are asking---why is the General entertaining all these invitations from trapos? Erap is surely a trapo. So does Drilon. Sectors are puzzled. Is the General really anti-trapo or what?

If General Lim wants to run as senator, he must do so by building his own political party and possibly coalesce with other traditional parties as a guest candidate, never a formal candidate. There is a strong possibility that people will accept a new political party peopled with those with strong principles and a clear revolutionist agenda.

One party that Danny Lim should consider is the Partido Lakas ng Masa or the newly established Democratic Party of the Philippines (DPP). Or, maybe, just maybe, a new Political party named Democratic People's Patriotic Party (DP3).

Let these trapos gravitate around this new party, and not the other way around. That would send a very strong signal to the traditional elites that their time has come to a definitive end.

PGMA paid 3 million pesos to 3 leaders to sign Y.O.U. death bill?

Yesterday, I got a chance to talk with a retired Marine major. He's now working for a Makati-based company. He went out of the service because he was disillusioned with the leaders of the reform movement.


I asked why? What was wrong?


The major said he's disappointed with the recent claim of leadership in the Young Officer's Union (YOU) by General Danny Lim.



" Carlos is right. Danny Lim is not the founding chair of the YOU. There's another who I will not name now."

The ex-major says it is totally uncalled for for Brig. General Danny Lim to call himself the founding chair of an organization, which in 2002, he reportedly declared as "dead."

"It was sometime in January 2002 that General Lim, Ariel Querubin and Abe Purungganan declared the Y.O.U. dead without even consulting other members of our organization. The YOU is not dead. It is still alive."

The marine major was privy to the negotiations between Mrs. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and three alleged YOU leaders namely Abraham Purungganan, Danny Lim and Ariel Querubin. The three, says the young major, agreed to "kill" the Y.O.U. in a so-called Statement called "Manifesto of Support".

The statement, which was published as a full-page ad in January 2002, was signed by 71 officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). That manifesto, says the major, was a fake.

" I talked with the officers who allegedly signed the manifesto and they denied it. I later learned that the three---Abe Purungganic 'The Messianic", Danny Lim and Ariel Querubin just lifted their signatures and pasted it in the statement."

What's worst, says the major, Mrs. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo reportedly gave 3 million pesos to the three officers. The sum, reveals the major, is for the three to sign the "death bill" against the Y.O.U.

" That's the problem with Mrs. Arroyo. Sinusupalpal niya ng pera ang mga kumakalaban sa kanyang administrasyon. Ang hindi ko maintindihan, bakit naman tinanggap nina ser ang pera?" I was not able to answer back because I really don't know if they really did receive the money.

Later after the publication of the Manifesto of Support, Mrs. Arroyo promoted Lim to Brigadier-general. In 2006, Lim, together with some officers of the AFP, withdrew their support from Arroyo. He's since been incarcerated for alleged mutiny charges.

The major believes that Lim etal is not really true revolutionaries.

" If it is true that they're revolutionaries, why go to the trapo route? Kung ako sa kanila, I'll continue the fight against the Arroyo regime. Malala na nga ang sitwasyon tapos politika ang nasasa isip nina Lim at Querubin? Para nilang sinabi na mali ang ginawa nila at pagtakbo na lang sa pulitika ang dapat."

The major says that he'll only salute Lim and Querubin back if they'll withdrew their plans for politics and continue the struggle to change Philippine society the right way---thru a New Philippine Revolution.

Arroyo's sinister plan

Philippine pseudo president Arroyo just announced that she'll be leading the charge against drug syndicates. Fine. Laudable. My observations.

This is uncanny, given that this is the first time that Mrs. Arroyo will be dabbling her puny hands on crime prevention. Since she started her checkered political career, she took part either in economic policy making (as DTI usec) or in social welfare. Even in the time of the deceased Senator Robert Barbers making overtures to be the state's foremost drug czar, never did Mrs. Arroyo agree on making herself the anti-drug czar.

So, the question everybody is asking--why just now?

One answer is, this validates a previous observation that Mrs. Arroyo and her evil minions are toying with the possibility of having an armed force that they can personally command in the event that they declare emergency rule. Bear in mind that Mrs. Arroyo has her own private anti-coup army, recruits from Pampanga that they formed as counter-force against the forces of Senator Antonio Trillianes. Maintaining such a force is financially draining, even if Mrs. Arroyo controls billions of pesos worth of intelligence funds.

It's obvious that Mrs. Arroyo has now shifted strategy by forming her own legal counter-force in the person of the PDEA. By strengthening the PDEA, Mrs. Arroyo is actually preparing for the formation of an organisation similar to the dreaded MISG of Col. Abadilla.

The grand plan? This government will be using the PDEA not just in defeating those drug syndicates. PDEA's role will be expanded and will include close surveillance and intelligence against enemies of the state. Will this include active Magdalo soldiers now incarcerated and remains defiant against Mrs. Arroyo? Probably. Will this include powers to pry open the financial records and personal circumstances of known critics of this regime? Quite strongly, yes.

Now, if that is the case, do we see Malacanang's hand in efforts at perpetuating itself beyond 2010?

The New Sparrows

This report " AFP rebels in war vs. drugs: 20 freed Magdalo prove there's life after Oakwood" by Arlyn dela Cruz of the Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI) maybe interpreted by some to be part of government propaganda efforts to dissuade a growing revolutionary movement within the AFP.

On the flipside though, it is refreshing to note that, at last, there is a New Sparrow Group to hit big-time drug dealers here in this country. PDEA Chief and ex-AFP Chief Santiago's decision to "reform" these idealistic men gets my nod. And my utmost respect. I salute you sir!

I say to these Patriots--continue the fight to reform Philippine society by smashing these drug syndicates. Kill them, our young Patriots. Mercy should never be given to these drug dealers and pushers. They are the scums of society. They profit by killing dreams and lives of so many innocent children and Filipinos.

Hit their factories. Hit their bosses. Kill their Chinese connections. But never be a John Campos.

Magdalo should also infiltrate other government agencies and serve as the People's Sparrow Group. I dare say, hit the brokers at the Bureau of Customs. Kill these smugglers who deprive us of billions of pesos worth of taxes.

Search for these big-time rice cartel. Smash their network. Seize their stocks and distribute to the needy and the poor among us. Make their trip to hell faster by the barrels of your guns (which you never fired by the way at Oakwood).

Look for these unscrupulous election officers and government officials who profit from big-time government deals whereever and whoever they are. Ferret them from their hideouts. Seek for them in these exclusive golf clubs and countryclubs. Arrest them. Jail them. If they resist, kill them. These scums know the law of the jungle. Make them pay for making our poor people suffer.

While you're doing this, other Patriots will continue reforming society in the highest levels. The Truth is--we need deeper reforms.

We need to change society through the Oakwood route.

We need to obliterate this mafia group who rules our government with ruthlessness and inhumanity. Yes, there should be Magdalos who must seize the reins of power and establish a government that shall embody the true ideals and values of the Filipino People.
