President Noynoy does not get it when it comes to justice

Seems that there is something really big happening in the next few days. For one, even the Defense secretary Voltaire Gazmin was heard appealing to the defense establishment, meaning the soldiers to "focus on their jobs, instead of being distracted by the pork barrel scam." Gazmin probably knows something we don't.

Even the President is granting "ambush interviews" with ready-made answers and a prepared Janet Lim-Napoles' letter ready for media consumption in his possession. Rarely do Palace reporters interview the President who, in the past few months, was so busy that he is only seen in public appearances and does not grant media interviews. Now, he is trying to defend himself against accusations that he too, dipped his fingers into the anomalous PDAF scam.

The President is probably being given faulty advice. The issue now is what many sees as "selective justice" in this entire charade. Meaning, this administration is gung-ho in prosecuting its political enemies caught with their hands inside the Napoles' cookie jar but is equally defensive of those allies who committed the same thievery.

What the president fails to see is that the people hope that he really assumes neutrality in all of these things. Being the head of government, Noynoy should be the paragon of good conduct and ethical behavior. He must forget that he is a member of the Liberals and the Hyatt 10 group members are his friends. He is President of the Republic now, and his foremost priority is to see that justice is dispense for and on behalf of the people.

The issue is even in justice, there is politics.

Filipinos are highly sensitive when it comes to the issue of justice. Many Filipinos suffer from injustices almost every single day. They see injustice whenever they buy highly priced foodstuffs, pay exorbitant electricity bills, the highest in the world, and get cut off of their communication when they fail to pay the bill at the exact time. They see injustice when they see the schools of their kids being granted tuition fee hikes every single year while the quality remains the same.

They see injustice when they pay for LRT fares after suffering extreme heat in queue for hours and they see injustice when the tires of their cars get destroyed over potholes in those low quality roads paid for by their road users' tax.

And when Filipinos hear that even those taxes which the Bureau of Internal Revenue are being stolen by a former radio shack operator by the simplest of fakeries, and of their "Honorables" enjoying their loot without any care, and of even the blessings of God through those oil being dug in those seashelves being toyed with, with nary a care, who then, would not think of finally telling government to "shove it" or "time to explode or abolish every single vestige of injustice."

Those three senators might probably be guilty as hell, but same goes to those others now enjoying immunity because they're either Kaibigan (Friend), Kamaganak (Relative), Kabarilan (co-shooter), Kapartido (meaning: Liberal), Kainuman (drinking buddy) or Ka-gimikan sa Kababaihan (hard to translate).

The minute this President realizes his mistake, then, and there, the people would recover their trust and faith in government.

Justice in the Philippines

Many Americans think that what happens in the movies, like drug lords having special treatment inside jails, are just for cinematic renditions. Here, in the Philippines, this is more of life depictions.

So much for "equality before the eyes of the law". IN the Philippines, there is this saying that if you steal, steal big, as in in "billions" so that you"ll be treated like royalty inside those filthy jails. This also applies to drug pushing--don't be a pusher, be a drug lord. By then, you'll enjoy time off in a hospital being served by a starlet and a beautiful television star.

Also, in the Philippines, if you are poor and you revolt against the system, chances are, you'll be treated like an animal, deprived of your rights and if you happen to be pregnant, will probably lose your baby.

We, Filipinos are really known world-wide for our ingenuity. We don't just transform things like military jeeps into public transport, we likewise apply our creativity in transforming Western concepts into our own versions, the Pinoy version.

Like, democracy. By democracy, we mean doing everything possible without harming anyone. If we are a government official, it's democracy if we give contracts to the ones we are friends with, even if these friends of ours have conflicts of interests.

It is democracy if we get thousands of pesos from the people thru taxes and repay them by giving them very sloppy services.

It is democracy if we use newspapers as platforms to malign others. Or, if you have a political nemesis, use newspapers to get them in trouble.

Our democracy is more like a hypocrisy where we convince ourselves that what we are doing is benefitting the many, when, in reality, we are actually killing or harming them. Our democracy is very  much like anarchy where we do anything we please for as long as no one dares to shout at us for our unfairness.

This explains why I don't really expect Janet Napoles to be punished eventually. After all these, expect Janet to go back to her house, maybe several millions poorer, yet, still have enough for her great, great grandchildren.

I also don't expect those drug lords to "rot in jail". Fact is, jail is heaven to them. They produce metamphetamines inside those kubols of theirs and sell them outside Bilibid.

I also don't expect those kidnap and bank robbers to also, rot in jail. They have millions to pay off the wardens and their staff members.

So, it's like this.

If you're a robber, please steal big. Target high profile personalities and big banks.

If you're a swindler, swindle big. By then, people will be afraid of even filing anything against you.

And if you're a killer, murder tens of hundreds. That way, you"ll be able to prolong your trial and probably escape unscathe afterwards.

Janet Lim-Napoles is desperate

Kapal. This is how I describe Janet Lim-Napoles and her lawyer, Bruce Rivera. They said Janet already finished writing the second affidavit which Bruce promised to be "more explosive than the first."

Bull. Crap. I dont believe it.

Janet had her time to save her soul from damnation when she appeared before the Senate. At that time, the people expcted her to "spill the beans" yet what did she do? Napoles wriggled herself out of the rut by keeping her mouth shut. " NO YOUR HONOR" became a popular oft-repeated refrain by those just fooling the people.

How can you expect her to tell the truth when she did not come clean in the first place. Now that the Sandiganbayan and the rest of the people are desirous on seeing her spend the remaining life in jail, Napoles is spending her monies to make sure that she exhaust everything, including pulling government down with her, or any other.

She's so desperate because she knows that her principals are looking to spend their own time in jail. When that happens, expect her to fall like a brick soon.

So, that's it? Return 40 million and you're off the hook?

Janet, where are those people
you so protected with your life?
Reports say government was satisfied when Ruby Tuason gave it a 40 million peso check which allegedly represented the commissions she took when she did all those nasty things with alleged pork barrel scam artist Janet Lim-Napoles. Justice secretary Leila de Lima was quick to grant her immunity status from the pork barrel scam case. Palace spokesperson Edwin Lacierda was quick to the draw--Tuason is still NOT off the hook because she still has to answer on the Malampaya fund scam.

Opps...what Lacierda does not know or probably knew but failed to remember what the palace has been doing for months now---dilute public interests on the Malampaya fund scam. Senator Jinggoy Estrada says the Malampaya fund scam is more depressing than the pdaf. Okey, so he knows.

So there. What this thing taught us and our kids is that, if you schemed and stole billions, just give back some and keep the rest and everything okey. What kind of thing this is??

It's like telling the bank robber, okey give back what we declared in public as the amount of monies you stole, and the thousands unreported, you can keep for yourself.

It's like telling the would-be Janet Lim-Napoles out there to come clean, report an amount to us as the  value of what you think you owe the people and keep the others, and expect to get off. No jail. No charges. Just pay us what you stole from the people.

That 40 million peso payment is a piece of evidence already that there was indeed, a siphoning off of public monies, what other proof does government want?

Ano kaya ang nararamdaman ngayon ng mga whistleblowers? That those people whom they accused of are being let off the hook one by one?

Senator Ping Lacson and/or Napoles should reveal Senators' names

Lest of being accused of squeezing publicity juice out of this highly sensitive scandal, Senator Ping Lacson should reveal the names of these senators immediately.

Lacson should act like a Senator Teofisto Guingona IV. When asked to revive the hearing on the PDAF scandal, Guingona used his brains and arrived at a decision at waiting for the Secretary of Justice to complete her probe first before he revives the hearing. Guingona IV had thought that what is important is not the publicity but the tightening of the government case against the perpetuators of the scandal.

Lacson meanwhile, is basking under the heat of the Napoles' sun. Since nothing is happening in Leyte as rehabilitation czar, Lacson has turned into a Napoles' confessor.

Why wait for a few days when Lacson has to do is get those names out there already. Otherwise, people will definitely think that this is more like an overstretched political tele-drama, not a genuine quest for truth.

Ruby Tuason--bagman with a conscience

Ruby Tuason's smile is gone. She used to be bubbly. Now, with a humongous and detestable scam affixed to her surname forever, Ruby is now a woman with a mission.

In an interview with good friend, Nancy Carvajal of the Inquirer, Ruby says that her friends stopped texting her last Christmas when her name got mentioned as one of the people used by Janet Lim-Napoles as her "bagmen". Imagine, a Tuason as bagman?

The name "Tuason" used to stuck a cord of respectability in social circles for millennia, not until rumors swirled about indiscretions committed by a Tuason before. But, that's forgive-able. What is unfortunate and unthinkable is when a Tuason is linked with thievery of people's monies. No Tuason is a thief. Fact is, Tuasons are vast landowners of lands in the Metro and it is highly unthinkable that one of them would succumb to a few millions from scandals like these. They used to count monies in the billions.

Yet, it happened anyway.

My sources told me that Ruby had already signed a check representing the "commissions" she took from Napoles' projects. To be precise, those commissions arose from her "transactions" with certain political personalities among those, former president Joseph Estrada and his son, Jinggoy.

What prodded Ruby to come out of her shell and reveal what she knew about the scam? Well, her breeding probably did the trick. Ruby is known to be a very devout Catholic. I just don't know why she threw her religion out of the window when she got involved in that pork barrel scam.

When the dread of mortality sets in, and conscience starts eating that soul, those guilty of evil works began their way towards admission and ownership of responsibility. I always believe that people are inherently good until they sniff the smell of money in the air, and its repeated a billion times over.

So, there.

Exclusive! Two Pnoy allies included in Napoles PDAF scam

Two close allies of President Aquino are now in a very serious situation. The PDAF investigation found them among those who transacted fraudulently with Janet Lim-Napoles, when they were still legislators. Meaning, they were part of the PDAF or pork barrel system scam.

My people, do not forget this pork barrel scam. This explains why we remain poor and why most of our people wallow in poverty and hunger.

I am not at liberty here of disclosing who these fine officials are. Suffice to say that they now occupy sensitive posts in the Aquino government.

This shows that the seeds of malevolence sown by Napoles were even caught by hand by people who want us to believe that they are "clean" when in truth and in fact, they are part of a systematic effort at robbing us of things allocated for us and for our welfare.

It is best for the President to heed the public's clamor. The people want nothing more but to see those who robbed us of our monies behind bars (at least) or executed for their high-profile crimes against the Filipino people.

The President can still regain the trust of the people by punishing every single one found to have robbed us of our monies, regardless of political color or affiliation. The President should respect our laws. If someone is found to be an active part of this devilish scheme, then, by all means, prosecute! As the chief executor of the law, the president should set the prime example. He should be the tool of the people in sending erring officials to jail, or to their deaths, socially, I mean.

Who are these men? Clue--they are both below fifty years old.

Senators being humiliated by Janet Lim-Napoles

After listening to Janet Lim-Napoles wiggle her way out of every Senator's questions, I am beginning to believe the boast of Napoles when she first burst into the media limelight the very first time the Inquirer published the story--that she, Napoles, practically controls government.

The on-going Senate blue ribbon committee is turning to be quite interesting. Suprising, Napoles is now answering questions. This girl is very intelligent. She is quick witted and knows how to escape from pathological traps. I am not surprised anymore. Napoles is a survivor.

I am now more inclined to believe that this entire caper is already an established enterprise and surely, Napoles probably knew this from another.

I clearly do not understand though, why we allow ourselves to be treated by a woman like this. I am ashamed. Clearly, this woman is mocking us.

Janet Lim-Napoles defense before Senate Blue Ribbon: " I am not a thief."

Justice secretary Leila de Lima expects nothing from Janet Lim-Napoles' testimony before the Senate blue ribbon committee today. For one, says De Lima, the Senate does not provide a blanket immunity from suit, which Napoles knows. Fact is, since the very nature of this inquiry is "in aid of legislation",  the Senate is there to establish whether or not a law was violated and ergo, has to be amended, or repealed. Or maybe, a new law is necessary basing on what Napoles will disclose today.

The thing is, how can Napoles reveal something when there is a case filed against her before the Office of the Ombudsman already. This case is like a Damocles sword hanging above her head. An admission, though can actually be struck down as an evidence before the court, nonetheless, directly affects perception of her. The timing is terrible. Imagine, the Office of the Ombudsman is now in the process of validating the findings of the NBI and here is Napoles, being watched by his probers, telling all before Senators? Who will agree to that?

At best, here are possible "quotable quotes" from Napoles today.

" I am not a thief."

" I did not steal those billions. It came from my legitimate business in Indonesia which I will not disclose."

" They are lying (directed to Benhur Luy). They just want my money."

" It is not me who orchestrated all of these things. This is the handiwork of another."

" Kuya naman, please, madami ka nang kuha sa akin (pointing to cameramen and photogs). Hindi pa naman ako naka make-up."

" Your Honors please, I invoke my right to self-incrimination."

" Your Honors please, pwede bang mag -cr?"

"Your Honors please, pinanganak akong bilyonaryo."

Angara says pork barrel issue is not a "scandal" but just a "controversy"

For Senator Edgardo Angara whom the Commission on Audit report showed getting a 300 plus million excess in his pork barrel funds, this issue involving Janet Lim-Napoles is a mere "controversy" and not a "scandal" as being portrayed by the media.

Fact is, say, Angara, Napoles should be accorded the courtesy of being presumed "innocent" while the investigation is on-going.

“They should have embargoed [the report] because that is prejudicial publicity." says Angara in an interview with Philipine Daily Inquirer reporter Gil Cabacungan referring to the COA. " The documents are incomplete. There are steps that it should take before declaring an NGO is indeed fake. This has created a feeding frenzy because this juicy news, both local and international,” he said.

For someone who were entrusted by the people with about 384.375 million, where about 14.4 million was given to an NGO, Kalusugan ng Bata, Karunungan ng Bayan Incorporated, where Angara is an incorporator, stockholder and board Member and another 9 million given to Jeverps Enterprises, one of the firms of Janet Lim-Napoles, this so-called "misuse" of public funds is not a serious thing which merits a media frenzy.

I don't know about Angara, but I do know and feel that this issue looks, feel and appears to be a serious scandal, not just a controversy.

Robbing the public coffers of 10 plus billion pesos is immoral, evil and really scandalous, because this thing happened during a time when 40 plus million Pinoys only eat once a day when Napoles and her group reportedly splurge the people's monies.

Yes, I believe when Napoles always say that her wealth was "pinagpaguran" or came from her industry or being industrious, yes. She was indeed industrious especially in preparing fake documents and appearing at all those meetings with high-profile people, particularly politicians.

"Scandalous" because in a country which its government claims to be "poor", news that billions got lost in translation really feels being hit below the belt or is as gut-wrenching as being fired upon by a gunman.

It is scandalous because for many, it is unmarkably evil and patently condemnable that such a wide-scale thievery is being undertaken while many wallow in extreme poverty.

And Angara, being used to the big time thievery in the past, sees nothing scandalous about what Napoles and her gang reportedly did.

Threats against Janet Lim-Napoles and real threats from groups wanting to hijack the legitimate cause of the People

Janet Lim-Napoles, the so-called mastermind behind the pork barrel scam, is reportedly scared to her wits. And rightly so. Yes, Napoles may be assassinated by those whom she transacted before, but, the most interesting thing about Napoles' case is the brutal fact that every single Pinoy out there is desirous for more blood, her blood, to be exact, to be spilt. There may be a basis for saying that threats against her life have increased exponentially since her so-called "operation" was exposed, but I think those threats come from the people themselves. Hence, even the most sophisticated jail cell in the world will and cannot deter a possible assassin from harming Napoles, since, every Filipino right now feels that he has the right to at least pinch Napoles' ears.

This is the first time in Philippine history that the masses are genuinely angry. TV Patrol has been doing man on the street interviews for the past couple of days, and the angry reactions of the citizenry are signs of not just a brewing revolt, but a mass-led catastrophe that threatens the very existence of governmental institutions in our country. Many people now believe that it is time for us to overhaul the entire system and replace it with something new.

What is dangerous is that the once silent allies of administrations past have seen an opportunity to re-invigorate themselves before the public. Those who feel politically prosecuted, those who know they are guilty of robbing us of billions, and those who suspect that they are "next on the chopping block" have now banded together against the Aquino administration. Yes, there is a natural expression of the people's anger against Aquino right now, and I'll not be surprised that after that "escort Napoles caper", expect a decisive drop in Aquino's popularity ratings.

Yes, I am saying that forces are at work against Aquino and for many reasons. One,groups who oppose the Bangsamoro peace deal and who thinks that the only solution is ouster. Two, there are other groups who oppose the RH bill and feel that it is time to hit Aquino back. Three, there are remnants of the previous dispensation who also fear that they're next to be prosecuted for their misdeeds. Four, there are groups who transacted with Napoles and realizes that this administration is dead serious on knowing the truth and prosecuting those guilty and fifth, those who always call for the abolition of this present system.

This is their time to unite and shine, so to speak. So the possibility of a genuine people's revolt being hijacked by forces with personal, political and selfish interests is real.  And the bottomline is simply tons of money, trillions in fact.

Imagine how juicy the situation is right now---you have a growing economy. You have an open and liberal environment. Many investors have expressed desire to set up shop here, and many projects are in the pipeline, every single one, billions of pesos. You have a more efficient taxation system, and surely, the government has enough money now for the politicians to toy with.

So there. These groups are not fighting for justice, oh no. These groups are not equally disgusted about how a few people scammed their way to the banks, definitely no because during their time, they too, dipped their fingers in the largesse.

These groups want to ascend to the rungs of power once more to enjoy the perks and privileges. They will not be interested probably with pork, because protection and facilitation money is a bigger racket in government than anything else. Their struggle will definitely be about money.

Opps......I forgot one other group, the Chinese-funded ones. They are also actively participating since they want nothing more than hijack this government and make it a friendlier one with China.

Yes, let me repeat myself to avoid being misinterpreted.

There is a genuine anger being expressed by the people. The people want to move. The people thirst for justice. The people are asking for blood.

What is dangerous is the possibility of this "anger" being hijacked by unscrupulous forces out there who are equally if not more guilty than the present dispensation in robbing us of our hard-earned monies. The danger is they may move against this administration, and win. If they win, expect a perpetual struggle against other contending forces.

If this group wins, surely, expect me to be the first one to struggle and even militate against them.

It is time for real change.

Citizen's Arrest Against Janet Lim-Napoles

The Department of Justice yesterday ordered the immediate arrest of Janet Lim-Napoles, the alleged "brains" behind the 10 billion pork barrel racket. DOJ secretary Leila de Lima said a Makati court ordered the arrest after finding probable cause of the charge of illegal detention filed by Napoles' right hand man, Benhur Luy. Luy was rescued by a special team of the NBI after being allegedly detained by Napoles in a seminary in Makati.

This very same incident caused the opening of a Pandora's box of Napoles alleged illegal activities. One by one, Napoles' co-horts in this monumental scam presented themselves before the NBI and are now under the Witness Protection Program of the DOJ.

As of this time, Napoles whereabouts are unknown. A source in the NBI says Napoles may be hiding in a house somewhere down South. Another said that Napoles is holed up in condominium waiting for her "travel documents". This fact, however, is unverified.

Since an active warrant has now been issued, anyone who sees Napoles has the right to read her her rights and immediately effect a citizen's arrest.

I urged all New Patriots of the New Generation and all Patriotic forces to seize and turn over Napoles to the authorities the minute they see her.

ARREST THIS WOMAN IMMEDIATELY. DO YOUR DUTY AS A CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY.

Janet Lim-Napoles and her alleged wealth exposed by PDI

Let's take Janet Lim-Napoles' defense saying that she is involved in the coal business. And let's grant it to her that she does not have any dealings with the government. The question is--where do Napoles sells her coal?

Does she directly sell her coal to energy producers? How many of them? Can she explain how to profit from selling coal? Where did she get the coal? Here or abroad? If here, then, Napoles still deals with government.

Is she an importer or exporter of coal? Nothing really concrete here, except that Napoles uses this as a defense for those who question where she gets tons of her money.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) must have known her business dealings, because every single transaction should have been recorded and submitted to the BIR. The question really is, why is there no record of her dealings or if there are any, why is there no report about it to the AMLA perhaps?

The story published right now at the Philippine Daily Inquirer reeks of direct thievery, if this story is to be believed. With just a "magic touch" in the documents, and of course, with connivance with "high government officials", Napoles was able to trick government of about 10 billion pesos, something which, to my mind, is either an overestimation or just a tip of a humongous iceberg of collective thievery.

It is unthinkable that Napoles did all these just by herself, if these whistleblowers are to be believed. If a ragtag team of less than ten people can actually steal government money that easily, there is a very serious problem in our system especially in our procurement of funds law. This law should either be halved or altogether blasted into smithereens.

Public money should be protected at all cost. These revelations about Napoles' scheme just shows how vulnerable and how inept government is in protecting and safeguarding hard-earned monies of the people. If this happened in other countries, Napoles and her husband would have been unfairly judged, and eventually shot or hanged in a public square.

No. Our people are not barbarians. They will still give some decent space for an accused such as Napoles to answer or defend herself.

This is the reason why corruption persists in this society. We don't know when to become ruthless against people who toy with our monies and when to kill or to save a life.

If these stories are indeed true, then, those responsible for this should not just be hanged. These people should be shot publicly, their insides exposed for all the world to see, and their bodies hacked to several pieces and given to hungry street dogs. Their whole families should be shot as well, since they benefitted from the strivings of many and caused the poverty, even the deaths of many. Their wealth should be sequestered, sold and given back to the public coffers.

Pork barrel fund mess---an accidental discovery led to full blown probe

This Janet Lim Napoles issue is really very interesting. After telling the President that the accusations against her are baseless because of "her stature and her wealth", she is now telling the public thru her lawyers that she is just an ordinary person who is incapable of doing what people are accusing her with---allegedly caused the stealing of 10 billion pesos worth of PDAF or pork barrel funds.

Now, people involved in the PR industry are now trying misdirection tactics, raising peripheral issues to "hide" the main issue---the alleged nefarious activities of Napoles' firm and her alleged connections with certain personalities.

The thing is, people are being made to believe that this is just a concoction of the Palace--that the Palace is moving behind the scenes using the Napoles files to attack its political enemies.

The truth really is, the government stumbled upon this by accident, according to sources. When the alleged "extraction" of Benhur Luy was made, a call was received by a high official of the palace. That official informed certain personalities close to Napoles who urged her reportedly to write that letter. The palace received the letter.

A decision was made to expose this. The thing is, the expose was selective. Only the known political enemies of the palace were included. Known Lakas-NUCD and Kamppi members which are now Liberal party members were excluded.

Malicious insinuations began to surface, including some rumors that a member of the Nacionalista Party is behind the public disclosures. This official reportedly is being groomed to be the party's presidential standard bearer in 2016.

The thing is, another Senator, this time nearing his "forced retirement" stands to gain from all of these. This person is supposed to head a presidential commission against graft and corruption. Those Napoles files are sure-fire documents which could be used against political personalities, like how former FBI chief J Edgar Hoover did during his heyday.

Will we see a Pinoy version of Hoover in our generation?
