Cayetano, Trillanes and Pimentel: 3 Stooges soiled Senate reputation

That scene showing Makati mayor Jun-jun Binay being physically manhandled and brought to the Senate hearing against his will says it  and ends it all. The three stooges, namely Senators Alan Peter Cayetano, Antonio Trillanes IV and Koko Pimentel have shown how three power thirsty senators can actually destroy the very integrity of the institution they represent. I pity these young men because they still have a very long career ahead of them. Now, with their Hitlerian tactics exposed, no one will ever believe them and everyone now consider them politically dead.

Yesterday's hearing was both a Roman tragedy spiced with Wagnerian tones. Imagine, just to satisfy their "pagka pikon" (I heard Cayetano and Trillanes are pikons or "touchy" or "ill-humoured") over this issue. They probably thought that they already have it "in the bag" and is successful in their mission to destroy the Vice president. They thought wrong.

That very scene just proves what the Binay camp is saying all along--that these three Senators are drunk with power and they will do everything to pursue their malevolent political agenda. Surely, that is not the way the Senators of old conduct themselves.

Why is there a Senate blue ribbon? The blue ribbon is supposed to investigate acts relating to excess or abuse of authority and power. How will the blue ribbon now be credible before the eyes of the public when the very same committee tasked to investigate abuses is now an abused platform by three power-hungry and attention-seeking legislators? Where will the abused now seek refuge?

Former senators Rena Saguisag and Joker Arroyo expressed their dismay over the conduct of the sub-committee of the Senate blue ribbon.

These three have just ended the very same stupid joke they started by themselves anyway. The only question is--what happens to their lying witnesses and "resource persons"? Will they go scot-free? Where is justice there?

Kakapalan na lang ng mukha if they still continue the hearings when they already knew that they already surpassed the period of investigation as provided for by the rules of the very institution they represent.
