Grace Poe really jumping into the presidential fire

ABS-CBN news.net reports that Grace Poe, along with several other political allies, is now barnstorming in the provinces in an apparent bid to "determine the people's pulse."

Bull. Crap.

Poe says she wants to know if the people "love her." Excuse me, Mrs. Llamanzares, but this presidential run is not about the people loving you. We don't need a leader whom the people love. We need someone capable of representing our interests as a people, and frankly, in my book, you simply do not have the capabilities or the right motivation to effect change in this country.

Capability-wise, compared with other candidates such as Mar Roxas, VP Binay, Duterte, Panfilo Ping Lacson, and Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, you lack the experience, the wit and even the breadth of understanding and patience of the dynamics of politics. Yes, you understand the dynamics of transactional politics, which, to your mind, is enough to weather you if you win this post. Sadly, the presidency is simply a different ball game altogether. It is not as simple as an MTRCB post or as crudely political as a Senate post, no.

Of course, you probably think that such a simple man as Benigno "Pnoy" Aquino III can hack it in spite of having a spotty mental record, you can do it as well. That is simply not the case here.

Aquino's family was cut out for politics, yours is not. Do not be misled and believe that running government is like running showbiz ness, or like running FPJ productions--those two worlds are simply not parallel ones. Besides, for the record, you did not get the chance to run FPJ productions simply because, admit it, when your father was still alive, he did not forget that stunt you did last 1991 when you abandoned your studies in UP and decided to migrate to the US despite the loud protestations of your father. Your adopting father loved you, but did you really love him back?

I sincerely doubt it. For one, you did not even vote for him when he ran for the presidency in 2004. Why? Because back then, you were still an American citizen. If you really loved him and really intended to support him, then, why did you not re-acquired Filipino citizenship in 2003, the very minute FPJ declared his intention to run for the presidency? You waited for him to die first before going back to the country which nurtured you before but you abandoned because of your selfishness.

Who will benefit in case you win? Obviously, you will leave it to your mentor, Senator Chiz Escudero and his henchmen, along with several big businessmen with political ambitions to manage and govern this government. Frankly, it does not sit well for many people. Ask Serge Osmena, mam.

Why leave government in the hands of a pseudo-leader and reputedly a megalomaniac according to several people? Are you saying that the likes of Ramon Ang and the Zamora brothers will definitely be more visible in the affairs of the state when you win? Such a scenario will definitely feed this country to the dogs, Mrs. Llamanzares.

Such big businessmen such as the ones I mentioned here have their own business interests to attend and pursue that is the reason why they are supporting you, because, right now, you are popular. Wait til your ratings go down further South and such calls for you to go and run for the top post will slowly fade away like snow flakes.

Mrs. Poe-Llamanzares, honor the memory and the legacy left by your adopting father. Do not go the way of the trapos. They are the very species which your father tried, yet failed, to defeat last 2004. And you had the gall of telling us that you intend to continue his legacy? In the first place, do you really know what you are claiming in public?

Grace Poe and the "alleged top secret" document presented by Pnoy to Senator Grace Poe

Grace Poe is trying very hard to hide her ill-feelings against several members of the Liberal Party. In her emergency interview yesterday, Poe said President Pnoy presented to her a "top secret" document, which she did not specify for "security" reasons. Really now.

What was that document which Poe referred to? Sources say, that document contains Poe's immigration records which show her travelling still using her American passport even after claiming to have renounced her American citizenship in 2005.

Again, based on Poe's travel records, the "senator" still travelled to the United States using her American passport even in 2013. American records show that Poe only reportedly renounced her American citizenship last July 2013, which meant that Poe was still an American citizen when she accepted the MTRCB post in 2010. This is one violation of the law because only Filipino citizens are allowed to occupy government posts.

Which meant, Poe is only a Filipino citizen for only two years. Which also meant that Poe was not able to vote for the election of her father, Fernando Poe Jr. last 2004!

Anyway, let's talk about this document which Pnoy presented to Grace Poe. Sources say, the document contains her travel records. Why will the President share with her highly classified documents and what for?

Those documents reportedly came from Nong Cruz, this lawyer connected with the camp of Liberal party presidential bet Mar Roxas.

Atty. Nonong Cruz is behind the campaign camp of Roxas. He was last seen with Mar Roxas yesterday when the LP candidate went to Navotas fish port.

Cruz reportedly is in possession of travel records from 2010 up and which shows Poe still using her American passport even after 2013!

The issue is--did the President show these records to Poe to "force her" to coalesce with Roxas, the President's presidential bet?

Grace Poe leading the race--why vote for her?

News today--Grace Poe has taken over Vice president Jejomar Binay in the ratings game. And all she can say is "I'm humbled." Knowing her, Poe is far from acting "humble".

After this remark, Poe was quick to add that the "people's voice is important to me." So there, Poe is really considering running probably for the top post. She's salivating so profusely in the mouth, there can be no denying that she's being lured for a post that she knows she's unprepared.

Truth be told but Poe is definitely reading every single thing about this wrong. As what this writer has maintained since the very start---the 2016 presidential elections is not something for us, Filipinos, to toy about. We must be way past that time when it is okey to elect lemons as our President.

For one, we don't deserve another lemon occupying the Office of the President. Another is, we have already went past the experimental stage where we elect people based on how immaculate they look on television or how we perceive them as incorruptible. We might as well elect a nun or a priest if that is the case.

We are doing a great disservice to our people if we elect a potential dummy of Big Business as our President.

On the other hand, thinking about it, yes, let's elect Grace Poe as our President.

Let's elect someone who does not even love our country in the first place, someone who abandons her people when the going gets tough and the tough gets going. One sign---her decision to swear before the American flag as a citizen.

Let's elect someone who will entertain us with her antics---riding MRTs, submitting a report slanted according to what the people think and riding every inconceivable issue to the hilt. At the end of the propaganda, where's the work done? What legislation was passed? What report led to the prosecution of the guilty?

Let's elect someone who will practically leave all the governance to a select few while she does her job as the government's poster girl who dishes populist positions at the mer say-so of her handlers. If that is what the Office of the President represents, then, so be it.

Let's elect a popular president who will not touch the interests of Big Business in the name of Neo-Liberalism. Let's not mind if those Big firms raise the prices of electricity, of water, of food and all others. That's maybe the price of our Folly.

Let's elect someone who does not know yet the workings of democracy, someone who only dreams of becoming a president because maybe she saw them as glamorous in the movies or simply considers becoming president because she thinks its destiny.

Yes, elect Grace Poe as President. Anyway, we are nearing Apocalypse anyway and we need someone who will pray with us, to save us from ourselves.
