RP headed for serious political confrontation--Pnoy thinking of becoming god

What President Aquino shared with TV5 will change forever the political fate of this country. For one, what the President announced is a veritable declaration of war against every principle he once believed in and what his mother, former president Corazon "Cory" Aquino and even his father, Benigno Aquino Jr. stood for and died for--that of preserving the pillars of democracy.

see this link:http://www.interaksyon.com/article/93241/president-aquino-says-he-is-open-to-cha-cha-2nd-term-and-a-weaker-sc

Aquino is now veering away from using his Constitutional powers and is mulling the possibility of further increasing his own powers by diluting the powers of the other branches of government. He did so when he and his friend, Butch Abad, invented the DAP. That is like assuming the power of the Purse which the Constitution only gave to Congress to exercise. He continues to mock the decision of the Supreme Court over the DAP and even uses the BIR, an agency of the Executive, to undertake a witch hunt against members of the Judiciary.

Whoever is advising the president--let me send this message very clearly--you are doing a great disservice to the Peoples of this Nation by giving this president an advice that puts this country in such terrible risks.

By putting this idea in the infantile mind of this president that he is god and deserves a second chance is like creating the very atomic bomb that is sure to obliterate every shred of democracy off this wonderful land.

How can we now say that it's more fun in the Philippines when the very ones who lead this government is thinking of having more fun for another six years?

Are the people ready for another six years of thievery, of goofs, of disservices, of poor public services, of higher prices of goods, of an aristocracy living in luxury while the rest live in utter destitution and poverty?

I remember one professor of mine in law who said that it is better to bet your bottom dollar on democracy rather than earn millions out of anarchy and despotism.

Pnoy and his classmates and friends are treading a path least taken by other mortals for fear of failure.  When these people were young, they envisioned a society free from dictatorship.

Now that they are in power, they are becoming the very same people they once tried to fight against.

As they say, how besotted the young mind becomes when exposed to the trappings of power! How man tries to ascend to the heavens as a god rather than a mortal?

And as what God described Lucifer when he revolted against the powers of Heaven:

“How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer,[a] son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’
15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the lowest depths of the Pit.
16 “Those who see you will gaze at you,
And consider you, saying:
‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble,
Who shook kingdoms,
17 Who made the world as a wilderness
And destroyed its cities,
Who did not open the house of his prisoners?’ (Isaiah 14: 12-17, NKJV)

Mr. President, please re-read your history books. Those who made themselves gods are themselves made low by the very people whom God granted the right to be His sons.

Those who thought of themselves as gods eventually got what the Prophet Isaiah described Lucifer's reward--a place in Sheol.

Pnoy counting not on end of term but of disaster

Aside from the MRT train which rammed its barrier and derailed itself which led to about 70 people injured, another shocking news happened yesterday.

President Benigno S. Aquino III, in an interview last night with my former Family and Relations professor Atty. Mel Sta Maria over TV5 dropped something which several people, including this writer, actually expected him to announce---the possibility of him getting another term.

Aquino shared with Atty. Sta Maria what has been occupying his mind since the Supreme Court disagreed with him over the Disbursement Acceleration Program or DAP---his desire to further clip the powers of the Supreme Court and his ambitions for another term.

see this link: http://www.interaksyon.com/article/93241/president-aquino-says-he-is-open-to-cha-cha-2nd-term-and-a-weaker-sc

And how will Aquino do this, considering that what he has shared is against the very vow he took when he assumed the presidency---respect for the Rule of Law and of the Constitution.

A second term for the president is expressly prohibited before the present Charter. Our founding fathers explicitly inserted that provision to deter any crazed man from assuming himself as god.

Is the president so afraid that the possibility of him getting the same fate as his former professor Arroyo and former political ally Estrada looms bigger now than before?

Is the President now siding with a faction of his cabinet whose desire is to ram the possibility of a Roxas presidency down our throats?

Is this the reason why coup rumors were floated about by a political ally of the president so that palace sickos are to mobilize their own forces for a self-coup?

Or the president really is convinced of his invincibility, of his power, or what people now presume--allies of the president probably coaxed Pnoy to near perfection that he is besotted with power?

Everyone knows that the possibility of the House initiating a cha-cha right now is as far as the moon. Though the Liberals have an upper hand in terms of numerical superiority, everyone knows that this superiority does not necessarily result to what the House desires--open the Charter.

This cha-cha has been attempted before by almost every administration which nears its term. And always, cha-cha attempts fail and always suffer the same fate--that of being thrown in the trashcan of the people's consciousness.

Opening the charter just to satisfy the paranoia of the One sitting at the Palace so that he protects himself from prosecution post-term is to me, as sick as one having a throat cancer or someone who already is sick before but is trying to put a brave face?

The President is now leading this country towards greater ruin and disaster.

Incidents like the one that happened at the LRT-MRT is not exactly an accident---this is a sign of a breakdown of the system.

And this breakdown is a result of the absence of leadership. No one is manning the fort. Who is now in charge?

From Tuwid na Daan to Tuwad na Daan just for 2016

Dirty politics is messing up the President's administration. Since last February, no one among the President's men, even his spokespersons, are mentioning the term "tuwid na daan". Does it mean that the President already abandoned the tuwid na daan and among themselves, admit, that they are now treading a "tuwad na daan" just to satisfy the presidential ambitions of someone close to the President?

Is Noynoy ready to break ties with groups which worked together for him to get the presidency? It seems like it. Even those very close to him are now being targetted by groups whose proximity to the Power Center are their close links with the Liberals.

Take the case of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). The President is set to appoint former Cavite governor Ayong Malicsi to the post. Malicsi, in previous intel reports on jueteng, was identified to be one of the friendliest local executives with jueteng lords in Southern Luzon. With Malicsi at the helm of one of the country's "cash cow",  expect a more favorable treatment with jueteng operators and expect of course, politics-related activities filling the schedules of the PCSO.

With a funds budget of 16 billion pesos, that is more than enough gravy for local executives everywhere. Funds as big as these are juicy carrots for even the most rabid oppositors of Malicsi's benefactor, which is, of course, Liberal presidential bet Mar Roxas.

Of course, analysts are thinking that Malicsi's closeness with DOTC secretary Emilio Joseph Abaya and Abaya's dogged allegiance not to the flag but to Secretary Mar Roxas, caused the appointment. Some say the reason is obvious--Malicsi is out to destroy Senator Bong Revilla's vaulted grassroots network in Cavite, the province with the most number of voters.

Curious why these Liberals need tons of money just to elect their head in 2016. Experience shows that a presidential candidate only needs around 1-2 billion pesos for a decent campaign. With the rate these Liberals are doing, expect them to raise more than this amount. Why billions? Are they preparing for something sinister, like, say, massive cheating come election time?

Malicsi's appointment is just one of many changes in the Cabinet being proposed by rabid and power-hungry Liberals among the President's circle. These men are out to outpace and outgun several allies of Vice President Jejomar Binay who are now in power too. These pro-Binay people serving government with honesty are now preparing for the most extreme outcome.

These political maneuverings are counter-productive. With politicians at the helm of government agencies, especially those involved in revenue collection, expect all the gains of the three year old "Tuwid na Daan" administration to turn tuwad.

We already have experiences where agencies manned or managed by politicians or political operators went back to their rent-seeking ways, the minute these men enter the scene. Incidence of graft increases and criminal syndicates again sprout and went their merry way.

The most obvious victim of all these is, of course, us, the Filipino People. With politicians replacing at the very last minute those who worked for clean governance, what gains do we expect from them? Nothing. These politicians will just do some fund-raising activities while in power and expect corruption to increase as Pnoy prepares to leave Bahay Pangarap for another bachelor pad.

Calls for scrapping of pork made Pnoy the most powerful man in the country

With public clamor getting more serious by the day and by the minute, it seemed that President Aquino's new proposal is perceived to be another "yellowish" or "dilawang" treatment of a brewing political issue. Even Edwin Lacierda's explanation is not being received well by the people, who are asking for the total scrapping of the pork.

What Pnoy did, according to observers, is simply tucked the pork in. He just placed those monies close to him and away from the greedy hands of people, including legislators. He likewise, limited the discretion of these legislators to manage corruption.

Wittingly or unwittingly, those who demand for the diminution of the Chief Executive's Powers thru this issue of pork got the raw end of the deal---with what they demanded, they actually increased the powers of the Chief Executive because in the new proposed system, Congressmen have to consult with the DBM secretary, a factotum of the president, before they can include those projects in the General Appropriations Act.

Meaning, the President now has the sole say on what projects to fund and what are not to be funded. This bodes ill to the "opposition" because every single Congressman would have to befriend DBM secretary Butch Abad who happens to be a stalwart of the LP as well.

Another thing---with the new system, and with the monies to be added to the regular budgetary allocations for each department, this will increase the incidence of corruption in the bureaucracy, because Congressmen will have to coordinate their projects with executive officials and ensure that these projects be implemented immediately.

A dream with Pnoy--true story

This is a true dream. Last night, I had a peculiar encounter with President Pnoy. I was then probably a reporter (again!) and covering Malacanang (again).

He was with two of his bodyguards. I was just alone. There was a mishap in the scheduling of an event and we were left alone. He was coughing.

Pnoy was coughing and coughing that I pitied him. I told him, sir remember those days when you asked a cigarette from me when we were in Balai and I gave you one?

Yeah.

I regretted giving you one. Then the dream just suddenly transferred to a rural area where he and I talked with the folks down there. He was visibly tired, and coughing. He was wearing white barong, the same barong I wore.

Then I woke up.

How fast time flew. Three years ago, we were in the heat of battle and most of those whom we talked with were still approachable. Now that they are in power, no, nothing.

This is the reality of politics---when you're outside the circle of power, you rage. When you're inside, you become eaten by the same rotten system you so despised.

I vow to myself never to be defeated by this humongous system. I am here for its destruction.

Robredo Jueteng Files---where are they?

Where are Jesse Robredo's jueteng files? A former classmate who worked as Robredo's closest aide says that there is a missing file which contains a classified report about jueteng and its involved executives and private individuals close to the Aquino administration. Where are these files now?

There are reportedly two copies of these files--one which were reportedly hidden in Robredo's condominium unit and the other, reportedly secured by the Presidential Security Group? The Palace must have to account for the reported Robredo files.

The jueteng files, according to this classmate of mine, were lists of named local executives involved in jueteng and a detailed account of monies reportedly received by these executives from known jueteng lords.

A former DILG undersecretary, who is reportedly close to another Puno of the previous dispensation is named there. This guy reportedly continues to receive jueteng payola and instead of sharing or giving it to his previous bosses, he shares it with the "current official involved in anti-criminality" campaign. This official, while outside the ambit of the DILG, is reportedly the one tasked by Pnoy to head an anti-crime unit, which oversees all efforts and serve as the direct liaison with the President.

Jueteng remains a big issue with this administration, due to earlier allegations, like what former Dagupan archbishop Oscar Cruz said, of linkages between jueteng lords and government officials. Jueteng thrives because there is no clear and specific order coming from the President that this illegal numbers game be stopped.
