Why China will lose to the Philippines in a war for the Spratlys

China is one helluva giant. It has a million armed men ready to swallow our 120,000. It is growing economically and militarily. It has its own submarines, gunboats, fighter planes, tanks and even, nuclear-capable carrying missiles that, with just one, can obliterate huge portions of our archipelago like what Mt. Pinatubo did in Pampanga and Zambales.

In an event of a war, China can definitely and literally shut us down, what with majority or almost all of our telecommunications equipment supplied and Made in China. All it takes is a flip of a switch.

Of course, how can the Philippines mobilize its vast resources when China knows how to control our intelligence networks?

Yet, China will definitely extremely flip and foolish if it intends to make war with us. We may be a small country but small countries often humiliate the big ones.

Look at the United States when it gave itself up to the Vietnamese. Russia became the world's big bully turned sully, when horse riding Afghans armed with their armalites and AK-47's successfully waged a guerilla war against it. 

These are just examples of how small armies can defeat big armies, even those armed with sophisticated weaponry and war technology.

If China does continue its foolish ways, we, Filipinos, will teach them and will mete them their first defeat. 

Yes, I believe that the Philippines will win a war against China over the Spratlys islands.

This war will never be fought along China's terms, but on our terms. 

If China sends its warships to occupy the Spratlys, we, Filipinos will bound together and unite and fight these scumbags until they return to their own countries.

There has been numerous occasions where we show our unity and usually these comes only in times when invaders loot our homes and kill each and every single one of us.

China sends gunboat to harass the Philippines

Gunboat diplomacy is a very old tactic. It was used in the 19th century and now, at 21st, countries such as China still believes in its efficacy to force an issue.

China flexes its muscles and for what cause? Not to advance the Socialist revolution to other realms in the Asia-Pacific but to harass a small country like us, and try to take over a shoal which is evidently not theirs.

Is China's leaders not thinking at all? Harassing such a small country like us is a shame. Why? Everyone knows that we are as helpless as a mite over a cockroach like China. China is starting to irritate us, and even the United States, but we must fully understand why the Chinese are behaving this way---their economic model which is the fusion of capitalist ideals and values and Socialist politics--is creating some societal problems.

Because Chinese socialism has diluted itself and now, a mockery to true Socialism, what is now a fairly prosperous China under the aegis of the old Chinese Communist Party is now, slowly getting poorer and poorer by the minute.

Wealth is now concentrated in the hands of a few while the many are wallowing in extreme poverty, something which the Chinese leadership wants to hide from its people and from the international community.

Sending a gunboat here hits two problems at the same time: redirects the attention of its people from their suffering to a belief of Chinese supremacy and sends a stirring message to the Filipino government that the shoal and the rest of Kalayaan is theirs for the taking.

What China does not know will kill it. What China does not know will eventually put it to shame.

History is replete with stories of how 300 men decimated an army of 10,000 and how seven dedicated men were able to storm a palace and kill a king.

Yes, China is far superior to us not just militarily but economically. We do have our aces, and China will probably not admit it and continue on its foolishness.

But the let the world know this--we might be small, but such ogres like China stands helpless against a tiny yet determined country such as ours.

Salute our Patriotic Naval Force

I salute the Philippine Naval Force for doing what they did yesterday--they went to the Spratlys and dismantled those markers set up by the Chinese at the Douglas reef. That was very bold and very symbolic. The Naval force has redeemed our glory. 


China has no right to claim islets more than 500 nautical miles from their nearest point of land. China has been bullying its neighbours about Spratlys, a group of shadowy islands which are hundreds of miles away from the mainland. Such claims should be scrapped and thrown into the wastebasket by China.


It was a shame seeing those installations and markers in areas where we claim sovereignty. The Aquino administration should consider beefing up our aerial and naval forces so that we can properly surveil and protect what are ours.


With the action of the Philippine Navy, we now can proudly say despite our "smallness" we are now big in the eyes of the freedom-loving world.

Philippines surrenders early on to China: While Vietnam prepares for war against the Chinamen

While our neighbor, Vietnam prepares for a live fire drill following its recent spat with China, here we are calling for a truce. Why are we calling for such? Are we the ones who started this verbal war in the first place? No, it was China. 


Who sent their warships in the Spratlys? Who built illegal structures there? Its those Chinamen. And we, who are aggrieved, we whose rights were violated, are the ones calling for a truce? Have we no shame left?


Who's the aggrieved party in this spat against these stupid Chinamen? We are. Six of our seven islands have been occupied. We have aerial photos to prove it. Even the Chinese government already admitted that it did, built structures in those six islands. 


Who threatened country-claimants involved in the Spratlys Islands to "move away" from there and not claim those islands anymore? Its China.


Who said that those islands, even those reefs and banks in the Palawan sea as theirs? Its China.


The verbal tussle has not even started yet, and here is our Presidential spokesperson calling for a truce? Kumbaga sa away, hindi pa nga umiinit eh, umurong na tayo?


Have we no shame as a people?


Senate president Juan Ponce-Enrile is right. We should show our anger. We should show our protest. 


Why are we so afraid of these yellow-colored bullies? Are we afraid that these Chinese will bomb us with their nuclear weapons? ARe we afraid of their army?


Of course not! Maliit man tayong bansa, pero, we need to fight for our rights by expressing our disgusts and not let other countries bully us.


Have we no shame left? And why is our president so concerned with China losing face? They are the aggressors. They started this. Have we lost our self-respect as a people that we now allow a bully to occupy part of our sovereignty?


I fear that our government, especially our President, is mishandling this situation. I am afraid that if push comes to shove, we will lose this early in the game, simply because we have a president that does not know what to do with this issue.


Yes, we are the weakest force in the Pacific. We probably would last an hour in a modern war.


Even though, I would prefer to go to war and prove to the world that I love my country and I'm willing to defend it against such bullies as China, than surrender what I think is mine. 


Eh, so what if they have a million armed men? So what if they have many airplanes, warships, subs and the like?


It is better to die fighting than surrender the Motherland.


Puro dakdak lang itong pangulong ito pero wala talagang pagpapahalaga sa Inang Bayan.
