When the pork barrel scam issue hit the headlines, many thought that this is the right time for the people to prosecute those who have made it their business and trade scamming people off their taxes. President Aquino even promised publicly that he will prosecute to the full extent of the law those responsible for this monumenatl scam which, according to Janet Lim-Napoles herself, has been the practise since 1925.
Now, Aquino is telling us something different--that his friends and relatives are obviously immune from all these, that only those who are not inside the Aquino colambo are fair game. What if Janet accuse Butch Abad of masterminding the whole thing? He's the president's budget chief therefore, he's likewise, immune from all these.
So what if Drilon is seen hobnobbing with Janet? Bong Revilla and Jinggoy did the same thing? Who cares if Tesda chief and supposed to be as clean as a saint Joel Villanueva is now accused of getting millions from Janet? Or, if Chiz Escudero got some millions pesos worth of transactions with Janet?
For Aquino, they are exempt because they walk the straight path.
Of course, scamming people off their taxes is a usual practice by politicians. It's one part of the entire scheme of things, of people working for other people, and of parasites donning barongs and amerikanas.
We, ordinary citizens are being taught and expected to follow the law while those who are duty bound to implement the law, are themselves, the law breakers.
We, ordinary citizens, are asked to play the rules by the book while those whom we elected to protect our interests, are implementing a different kind of rule book.
We, ordinary citizens, are expected to pay our taxes on time, under pain of prosecution while those who earn billions from our sweat are exempted from paying those taxes. Ask those tycoons who want us to consume their booze, their cigarettes, their texts and imaginary entertainment. They get their billions from us but government tells not go pay whatever you want. Besides, it is the people's monies you use anyway in buying souls of ghouls.
What is true and damnable is that the scale of justice is always tilted in favor of the moneyed, regardless of who they are, whether they are fakers and swindlers, bank robbers, drug lords, jueteng lords, arms dealers, celebrity rapists, millionaire thugs, real estate scammers, class a contractors, fake doctors and plastic surgeons, quack pharmacists or plain and simple sweet talkers masquerading as saviors of the people.
Government is supposed to balance everything. Government is supposed to be blind, not wearing blinders but born blind.
Government is supposed to be without bonds of any kind, except the imaginary bond that it maintains with the people.
Government is supposed to be an agent of justice, not just its executioner.
This issue involving Napoles is testing the very essence of government. The people expect their government to be blind and without binds.
This is not what government is showing us. This government under the able administration of President Aquino is selecting the ones tagged to make the fall for "others".
It is quite obvious that this scam is nothing but a fixture of this weak state. What Benhur Luy exposed accidentally was a business of the politicians. It is a lucrative trade indulged by politicians since the beginning of this Republic and Janet, unfortunately, was the one tagged as "it" by the main players of this highly sinful and institutionalized game.
There are many Napoles out there still going at it, doing the very same thing as what Benhur Luy and Janet exposed but still free and enjoying the fruits of the poisoned tree. Of course, the very guys who protect this state from its own dangers are themselves the very parasites who will cause its downfall.

Janet Lim-Napoles demands that she be turned into state witness
Janet Lim-Napoles now demands that she will only cooperate with government as a state witness. She says that she does not want a plea bargaining agreement.
Wow. So, government is offering Lim-Napoles a plea bargaining agreement, the same thing Mrs. Tuason, her dear friend, entered into. Tuason paid government 40 million pesos just to struck her name out of those charged with crimes relating to the pork barrel scam.
Why is government so desperate to help Napoles be a state witness? The reason is quite obvious.
Government fears that probably, they don't have sufficient case against those tagged as co-accused with Napoles. What government had right now are testimonies from alleged whistleblowers and several documents. Yet, admittedly, government needs the testimony or affidavit of Lim-Napoles since she is the one who directly transacted those deals with these politicians, not Benhur Luy.
The thing is, the President himself already said that it is next to impossible for government to accept Napoles as state witness, prejudging the case already and announced something which the public is being asked to accept.
There is now a relentless campaign to justify turning Napoles into a state witness. Look at how Napoles' lawyer, Atty. Bruce Rivera does the rounds. He is being interviewed right and left and even doctors of Napoles are being interviewed to support efforts for the defense not to allow Mrs. Napoles to go back to Sta Rosa jail.
What we are witnessing right now is something despicable. Imagine, the very one who masterminded this scheme is now on the offensive, in terms of propaganda.
She is now on the verge of retaining those billions she stole from the government and probably, and eventually even be turned into a hero. What a bummer.

Janet Lim-Napoles as state witness? Then, why not turn the Ampatuans too?
Janet Lim-Napoles is expected to go under the knife this morning. The alleged mastermind of the monumental billion peso pork barrel scam artist, as what reports picture her to be, was reportedly fearful of her mortality. She wants to confess all.
There's a catch though---she wants to be a state witness. Wow.
Let me oversimplify this matter. There is this high profile thief. She stole billions from government. Government charges her with crimes. Yet, government is unable to establish a strong case. It needs someone to revalidate what sub-principals have alleged.
This thief offers to witness for government. Reason? Well, those billions she keeps in several banks here and abroad. She was deprived briefly of her lavish lifestyle.
Of course, she wants nothing more than preserve her material possessions, which most she got from her years of defrauding many of their monies.
Let us call a spade a spade---I cannot stomach the fact that a killer of dreams like Janet Lim-Napoles will be used by the government in order to pin its case down against those who profited from Napoles' nefarious schemes.
Worse, Justice secretary Leila de Lima even pictured Napoles as a "religious woman", praying the rosary when she arrived at her hospital suite at the Ospital ng Makati. This is outrageous. Of course, a condemned individual would really pray before any Mammon just to save her damned soul.
Janet Lim-Napoles should be prosecuted period. She should spend the rest of her breath in jail. Fact is, many people want even her relatives to suffer like her since they too lavished from the loot she amassed.
Why is this case so different from other cases? Well, precisely not just due to the enormity of the funds Janet Lim-Napoles and her cohorts got from the public coffers, but to the sheer brazenness and simplicity they took those funds from us.
We, who sweat it all out every single day. We, who fear every single time the BIR gets our taxes where would those monies go to. We, who fear for the future of our children because of rising costs of food stuffs, of education, of transportation, of everything.
We who fear for the direction this country is getting itself into, and we who fear every single day what would happen to us when we walk in those unguarded streets and we who line up in kilometer long queues just to get to work, we are the Judge, the People.
Let government use all its power to get the truth out of Lim-Napoles without her serving as state witness. Let us squeeze every juice out of her damned mind and soul, and thereafter, condemn her to a life of perfidity, of perpetual punishment.
I blame the government for this.
They used this controversial issue to hide the ongoing sale of major and critical infrastructures. They are using the issue again to bury the US$30 million extortion attempt made by several officials of the DOTC. They are using this issue to prosecute political enemies. They are using this issue for us not to mind the below the table deals several government officials are doing for the sake of their chosen political bets come 2016.
In approaching this issue, government has not been as brutally honest as what most people expect it to be. Instead of applying the law, government use and will use this high-profile thief as a political tool.
Let Justice prevail. Prosecute Janet Lim Napoles and all those barong-clad thieves in our midst. Let the full force of the People's justice be applied to all of them. Instead of "baby-ing" these thieves, use the full force of the Republic in getting the juice out of them.

Janet Lim-Napoles " non-chalance" at Senate--nakakabastos!
That's what happens when we take comfort in all "democratic" and "legal" ways just to ferret the truth---we always get mocked as a people.
Look at what Janet Lim-Napoles did today at the Senate. She not only mocked the Senators who looked practically like buffoons asking questions and being given either monosyllabic answers or downright shrug---Napoles actually spat and mocked and humiliated an entire Nation.
For that, she deserves our everlasting condemnation.
Bam Aquino asked the most substantial---so, if it's not you and you did not do this, then, who did this scheme that the Commission on Audit says lead to the loss of billions of pesos of the people's monies? Malay ko, says Napoles.
This is what happens when we treat criminals and heartless people like this with decency--they will spit you in the face.
That Napoles scene reminds me of the Linda Blair scene out of The Exorcist. When the priest was saying his prayer to get the demon out of the nubile body of Blair, and the old priest was very kind, what did the demon do? He spat on the face of the priest.
Napoles had the gall to even find refuge in the person of the Office of the Ombudsman. Now, she has the legal reason why she should not even share one bit of info about her modus operandi.
I just thought about it---today's sad scene would have been different had a torturer been there lurking either beside or at the back of Napoles. Or, that chair which Napoles sat had a contraption that every time she lies, electricity flows out and hits her body.
Honestly, I am losing all hope that something good will come out of this thing.
We have been mocked.
We, whose monies were stolen,
We, whose dignity as a people was effectively slapped and spit out,
We, whose hard-earned taxes were partitioned by a greedy bunch of people,
well, will actually stay as slaves and will be humiliated forever by the very people in power.
We will never recover these billions which were robbed from us.

Napoles and her knowledge about how Chief Justice Corona was ousted by the Aquino administration
A hundred cops guard controversial pork scam artist Janet Napoles. She is now being transported from her jail room at Camp Santo Domingo to the Makati courts where she is scheduled to plead not guilty to the crime of serious illegal detention. Napoles' lawyer tried but failed to convince the courts that there are serious threats to her life. The PNP assured that Napoles' will be transported safely to face the courts.
Why spend millions just to guard Janet Napoles? What is the fear of this government?
Malicious tongues say, this government fears to lose Napoles to the opposition. Why? What does Napoles know that every one does not know?
Well, for one, Napoles, according to sources, is instrumental in securing the support of Congress behind impeachment moves against former Chief Justice Renato Corona.
There are existing proof which establish a "Napoles hand" in the ouster of the Chief Justice. Seems like Napoles was used by the Aquino administration in securing the support of several legislators in exchange for their pdaf.
Is Napoles now being secured by the State to prevent her from spilling the beans so to speak on what kind of operation the President himself allowed just to expel Corona from the Supreme Court?
Two things: first, Aquino knew of Napoles prior to her surrender and two, even if he did not meet him, Aquino's close aides know her.
Remember why things went on a dizzying pace a few weeks ago? Napoles was immediately secured after her "revelatory" meeting with the Inquirer. After that interview, things went on full speed. A court immediately issued for her arrest, and she just suddenly disappeared. When she did appear, it was after the President purportedly issued a 2-million bounty for her head. It is obvious that there was a "compromise deal" between Malacanan and Napoles since Napoles surrendered to Aquino, and not to anyone else, an example that a deal was already agreed upon.

Executive Secretary focus of attacks
Executive secretary Paquito Ochoa denies what celebrity manager and showbiz writer Lolit Solis claims--that Ochoa is close to Janet Lim-Napoles, the alleged brains behind the monumental pork barrel scam. Solis told reporters that "mam Jenny", the monicker given to Janet by showbiz people, is a dear friend of Ochoa.
Ochoa denies every knowing the infamous alleged scammer.
Curiously though, it was Ochoa's "communications consultant" or "PR guy" Brian Yamsuan who brokered or helped facilitate that disastrous meeting between Lim-Napoles and the Inquirer group. It was a monumental mistake which the "expert" unfortunately counseled his client to do. Yamsuan just fed Napoles to the "wolves" (not dogs, have many friends in the Inquirer).
Cut the crap that Napoles is not being given special treatment. For Malacanang, there is simply nothing wrong with escorting Napoles to jail, but there is a wrong commited there if the president failed to consider talking with the whistleblowers first.
What seems to be going on right now is the obvious fact that Pnoy's trusted right hand man, the Executive Secretary, is now the subject of intense attacks. These attacks are being supported by several supporters of the President, even Manny Lopez.
Is there a bigger agenda behind all of these? You bet there is.

Brewing People's Revolt and Why a President needs to protect an alleged high-profile thief
The president of this country escorting a high-profile scammer and alleged big-time thief to the police camp is unlike what other presidents did. Past presidents received rebels, revolutionaries, enemies of the state, not criminals. And those presidents did not accompany these "visitors" to jail. Neither did those presidents asked their local government secretaries to prepare a comfortable bed for the high-profile criminal.
The uncanny speed and the immediate attention given by Malacanang to Janet Lim-Napoles, alleged mastermind behind the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam, is outright suspicious.
Remember that days ago, Malacanan fired Bryan Yamsuan, a known operator and communications specialist of former Arroyo protector, Ronnie Puno. Every one in the media industry knows what Yamsuan's role at the DILG was during his time there. There were people who insinuated that Yamsuan was the "official" liaison of government with big-time jueteng lords. Yamsuan reportedly collects jueteng monies for and on behalf of Malacanang during the time of Arroyo.
Now, why was Yamsuan hired as "communications consultant" by Executive secretary Paquito Ochoa knowing full well his shady role during the time of Arroyo? Ochoa says that it is "best to keep one's enemies closer" meaning, he considered Yamsuan as an enemy. Okey, so they give a salary to an "enemy"? for what? To provide information about Arroyo, her cohorts and former allies? I know that the Arroyos have been politically decimated already?
When news about Yamsuan's "rehabilitation" of Malacanang came about, many sources had malicious thoughts about it. It seemed that Malacanan planned or had this plan of "liaising" with jueteng lords?
Anyway, many sources say that Yamsuan and Napoles knew each other deeply rather than what Malacanan said that it was only when Yamsuan had gambling troubles that he met Napoles. Yamsuan and Napoles, sources say, knew each other for a long time, since Napoles operated widely during the time of Arroyo.
What is totally curious is the fact that many pro-Arroyo allies were rehabilitated during this time of Aquino. It is like this administration is really similar with the previous dispensation, albeit, populated by those who went outside of the political kulambo when Arroyo's popularity sagged.
what is evident is this:
1. Malacanan had ties with "political operators" such as Napoles and Yamsuan.
2. Secrets were shared with these people.
3. Hence, Malacanan should protect these people so that those secrets will remain outside public knowledge.
So, are you still asking why President Aquino accompanied a high-profile alleged criminal to Camp Crame? Are you still asking yourself, why Aquino and Roxas were so busy preparing a nice bed for Napoles?
Now, what is the difference between this administration and its predecessor? Nothing. These administrations, the very people that run it, are equally guilty of mismanaging their roles as custodians of the people's monies.
I want to give an unsolicited advice to Malacanan---do not mishandle this issue. This has the potential of breaking into a people's revolt within the next few days or weeks.
The people are genuinely angry with this. Most people think that Napoles is getting the best deal possible.
Malacanan is giving a very wrong impression to the public, especially to young kids and that is:
IF YOU'RE A THIEF AND WANT TO GET RICH, STEAL BIG. AN ALLEGED BIG-TIME CRIMINAL CUM OPERATOR ENJOYS PRESIDENTIAL PROTECTION ALWAYS.
Janet Lim-Napoles' re-appearance being timed for what?
For the past five days, I've been hearing some unverified news that Janet Lim-Napoles, the alleged brains behind the infamous pork barrel scam, may be under the "safekeeping" of a few personalities linked to the previous Arroyo administration. Reports say that the reason why she was being kept was to deter efforts of this administration to safely put her under government custody so that she will not be able to "spill the beans" so to speak, against political allies of this government.
This news comes from several underground sources who knew the operations of several people involved in the same racket as Janet's. What makes Janet different from these people is the fact that Janet reportedly enjoys the protection and trust of several high-ranking military and police officials. Some of them are still active in the establishment.
Janet's close associates decided to hide her after the government was alarmed when she turned up "un-planned" and "un-announced" before editors of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Her presence there was not simply for publicity purposes but was interpreted by several high-profile personalities as her "tendency" to break the code of silence.
It seems that there is a purported plan to spring Janet out of hiding and make her "revelations" public, while revealing alleged personalities now politically allied with this administration. Her re-appearance is being perfectly timed by her handlers.
I would not lend credence to this, because, for a fact, public ire is simply directed against her. The longer she stays out of the limelight, the better for her handlers. However, it seems that these high-profile personalities want to use her as a justification for an action against this administration. Enemies of this administration have vowed to oust this government shortly after its third year.
If Janet balks and her pronouncements hit this government, surely, this will eventually cause the political assassination and death of Noynoy Aquino, whose platform is anchored on anti-corruption.

Janet Lim-Napoles and lessons in being an Operator
I READ with amusement, Janet Lim-Napoles' interview or "round table discussion" with editors of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. As a journalist for more than twenty plus years, most of these spent as a police beat reporter, I have been trained to analyze the criminal mind and to determine whether a person is lying or not. My perception is further sharpened by my short legal training. As a law student, I was trained by my teachers to ask relevant questions and most of them probing ones. You can actually ferret the truth out of a suspect if you ask the most important ones.
That Inquirer interview is very revealing because of three things: one, that interview shows Napoles is not the simpleton she wants us to believe. She's sharp. She's cunning. She knows how to extricate herself from tight holes. She may use very simple words but these are meant to hide her true character. Sometimes, it shows in the transcript whenever she asserts something.
Two, unlike what other people say, Napoles actually knows how the "system" works. She revealed much of her "contacts" and connections and knows how to use people for her advantage. She name drops people. She has the tendency to do this when pressured. This proves a theory believed by some people that, if push comes to shove, Napoles may yet reveal more about her alleged "racket" and spell the political fates of several allies of this administration.
Third, what is most revealing is that Napoles actually wants a "Senate" probe to clear her name. She wants to use the Senate as a venue to restore her image and reputation. It now says much about this vaunted "Senate investigations"---these are just springboards for people to get more public sympathy rather than a venue for really determining the truth behind certain evident wrongs in this system. This perception probably stemmed from the belief that no one was prosecuted shortly after a Senate hearing. Fact is, these probes are being used even by the "guilty" to prove their innocence before a court of law.
Napoles revealed her monumental strategy---agree on a Senate probe to extricate herself out of this rut and make us believe that nothing anomalous happened. Meaning, this issue will all be for "public entertainment". Napoles is also ready to be the "fall guy" in this issue to protect the big names involved in this racket. She believes that, in the end, she will not spend a day inside the jail anyway.
This leads us to the fourth revelation---Napoles knows some things which we simply don't. There are now forces at work to steer public perception away from her principals and focus the issue sharply at her. The series of revelations made by several politicians saying that their signatures were forged, are meant to diminish culpability and minimize the number of expected "political casualties".
As responsible citizens, we must never be swayed by the antics of Napoles and her backers. The NBI is slowly uncovering a monumental racket involving billions of pesos of our hard-earned monies. Aside from Napoles, government must prosecute other people who scammed us of our monies. There are things which we can just shrug our shoulders and say, well, shit happens. In this case, this is something horrific, something very immoral, something very gut wrenching that it really be very disappointing if after all of these revelations, these goes to nothing. Shit has been hitting the fan since the very founding of this Republic, and it's always us, the People, at the receiving end of a perpetual deception. This deception must stop right now. Otherwise, there is no reason at all for us to support a government that perpetuates large-scale and legal, thievery.

The Village of the Damned---rich yet condemned
I remember how the board of that ultra exclusive subdivision rejected the membership application of superstar boxer Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao is a certified billionaire. The former pan de sal baker turned the world's best pound for pound boxer made his billions knocking out brash and sassy men in baggy shorts. It seems too easy, but ask the man, and his handlers, and they'll tell you that it is not as easy as it looks. Manny Pacquiao gave his all, even sacrificed his own life, just to earn those billions.
Pacquiao deserves being one of the country's most successful and when he bought that palatial home in our country's version of Beverly Hills 9210, he most certainly deserves membership. Unfortunately, our rich men think and still behave like their Spanish and American ancestors. Our rich men are still snobs.
I don't know how they welcomed Janet Lim-Napoles, the alleged businesswoman being linked to the 10 billion high profile thievery at the House. Was she made a member of that ritzy, exclusive enclave of the rich? Probably. Napoles probably thought that she already had what it takes to become a member. She's a billionaire. She has a successful business. She has US properties, tons of cash in her personal vault and lots more deposited in several banks, not to mention, probably even stocks.
Most certainly, Napoles was accepted. And I think this is not surprising.
As they say, like minds attract. Who lives in those places except those who can stomach getting extra tons of cash from projects which perpetuate misery and poverty to their fellow men?
Who lives in those places except those who can swallow the fact that their companies charge extra from their Pinoy consumers and charge them even more for services which the hapless Pinoy consumer did not even use?
Who lives in those places except those whose ancestors took away and occupied hundreds of hectares of land from indigenous tribes and soaked their hands with their blood?
Who lives in those palatial houses except those blood thirsty hounds who smell blood and opportunity every single time hundreds die due to calamities caused by defective drainage systems, bad roads, etal?
Who lives in those empty pearly white mansions except those whose hearts are splashed with darkness by the cries of hundreds of young Filipinos working their mines and some, dying from hunger.
Worse, these people have the gall to require us to pay them homage, like semi-gods dominating a blighted land?
Napoles and her family can flaunt their wealth. General Carlos Garcia's hyperventilating son can flaunt his. Someday, somehow, the God of Justice will descend upon them and will cut their heads and display them on a plastic China-made plate.
